I've got a 14T that I haven't used in a few years. Got it out of the weeds, cleaned up, greased, checked timing etc. When I ran a cycle by hand the knotter didn't complete a full revolution (which of course meant I had to retime). It continued to have the same problem every time I ran a manual cycle. It appears to hang up near the end of the knotting cycle and upon closer inspection the trip dog roller is actually riding up over the cam inside the clutch ring near the end of the cycle. This would seem to indicate that something is binding but I can't figure out what. I have checked knife arms to make sure they're not to tight against bill hook when wiping off knot. I've unhooked the needle lift rod and turned the knotter by hand with drive chain off. I can turn it although it requires extra effort when the bill hook pinion engages.

Questions:

1. How easy should it be to turn the knotter by hand?

2. Any ideas on cause of problem?

3. How do you remove bill hooks on this thing? I was going to take them off and try to isolate problem.

Any help would be appreciated.
