1440 Cud-Ratchet Idler

I would like to know if anyone could give me the "exact dimensions" of the ratchet idler (arm to the left of belt adjustment bolt on front of tractor) on my 1440 Cub, built in the early nineties. I recently purchased it and just realized it is not one there. I am hoping to make my own part as a new one is about fifty bucks plus shipping. Also the tractor has a 50" mower deck that came on it when tractor was purchased new. I have been told its to big for a 1440 but the previous owner mowed with it for 12 years with no issues. I am have a hard time getting two people to agree on the mower drive belt (belt from PTO to deck) the size I am leaning towards is 5/8" X 89 1/2" any one have any ideas?
