1401D Leaking

I am finding a quarter sized amount of gear oil under my Yanmar 1401D after use. This is coming from the drive shaft to the front tires about 8-10 inches back from the front axle. It's coming from the bell-shaped housing. If I use the 4wd I will notice it, but not always in 2wd. After dripping this small amount of gear oil, it will stop. I used the tractor Friday and found a puddle Saturday morning. I didn't use the tractor anymore over the weekend and no more leaks. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I would say it's your front pinion seal and/or the O-ring leaking. I have the parts if you need them. Not a hard job.
