1200 Ford... Any ideas for repair ?

I know of a 1200 Ford with a broken crankshaft that is for sale. I have been searching the internet for over a month and haven't come up with an engine or crankshaft. One site has an advertised price of $1000. for the crankshaft but has none in stock. Anyone aware or a replacement engine that could be refitted ? I realize they are 20 plus years old but with a mmm and fel it would serve a useful purpose if repairable. What would be a suitable price for a machine in this condition ? My luck would be a transmission gear shattering after replacing an expensive diesel engine.

The crankshaft is still listed as available from New Holland Parts. The costs from Messicks web site for a new one is:

To me the tractor in the condition it's in is probably not worth more than a few hundred dollars and that is if you have a lot of personal time to invest.
