I have a 2010 model 110 TLB. The owners manual specifies factory fill is regular Hy-Gard. However, the dipstick says to use Low Viscosity Hy-Gard. Called my dealer, who contacted Deere, and he didn't get any real answer. I understand the difference between the two, but trying to figure out why the discrepancy between the manual, and the dipstick.

As much as they may be compatable with one another, doesn't seem like you would want to mix them.

The salesman and I wondered if it makes a difference where the machine was being shipped to. Cold climates get Low-Vis oil???

Just wondered if anyone else has run into this?

I think your overthinking this way too much. In cold temps Lo Vis. Warmer temps regular. I wouldn't mix them but when you change it just buy a little extra and flush it good. My tractor came with lo vis and I use the regular stuff. Just look at your owners manual and the Hyguard temp chart and see where you fall.

Matt;)
