Welcome to the club and happy tractoring on your 1025R. The "old" 1026R sure was a short lived thing!

Check into Artillian Tractor Attachments for some pallet forks. They may be handier than you first think.

If you need to deal with downed trees, small stumps, etc. then the BroTek thumb and ripper are a couple of useful add ons for the 260 backhoe. They do a package deal for about $780 delivered. The ripper can grub up small stumps without disturbing surrounding plantings and in combination with the thumb can lift & hold pretty sizable items. I found it handy for loading stumps in the truck that would have been too heavy/awkward for me to lift alone.

Checks out the hydraulic capacity before buying your attachments do not want to have attachment that you cant use.

Congrats!

You'll love the new tractor. I upgraded my JD445 to 1026R in June (leftover inventory from last year). I went with the 60D drive-over deck with mulch kit. After many years of bagging heavy grass clippings, combined with on/off tractor & dumping/leveling clippings, I wanted to see how well mulch kit worked.

Well, it works great - it finely shreds the clippings, further they put nitrogen back into the grass roots. Plust the mulch kit is app. $300, and the bagger / powerflow likely a couple thousand $$.

Don't get the ballast kit & I-bar...get a weight bracket & cast iron suitcase weights. Much more convenient.

My dealer said I don't need tire chains due to 4WD, we shall see. Also, you can get the 47" or 53" 2-stage snowthrowers. I had the 47", I am going to try the 53". I hear both went to a smaller composite (plastic) impeller that does not throw as far, and you can substitue a steel impeller. I plan to work on that in Sept.

Also, Curtis makes a nice winter cab. I plan to get that too. Up here in American Siberia, the cold & wind hit right after the snow.

Good luck & enjoy!

P.S. - model 1026R had to be discontinued due to 2013 U.S. EPA diesel engine emission reduction regulations, so the engine was de-tuned.
