1025R Engine to Transmission Drive Shaft Grease

The Kubota B2601 does not have a Ujoint on the driveshaft. They just carefully align the engine and HST shafts and put collars over the shaft in between. Several other Kubotas are done this way.

Are you offering a trade? It would be a long drive for you but I'll take a summer demo.

heat gun then.... Any heat source to liquify the coagulated grease.

Good idea with the heat. I probably would have thought of that.

Heat the joint and fitting with a propane torch for about 15 seconds. That will liquify the grease inside and let you grease it. Don't care for the LNL grease couplers, the barrel is to large in diameter. Why I have the McNaught coupler. Barrel is much, much smaller.

I had never heard of McNaught until yesterday after I bought the lock and lube. I'll test the fit before I install or get it dirty. If I can't get it in there I'll return and get the Mcnope one.

Does the Kubota have flexible (rubber) engine mounts? The small John Deere models have this feature to reduce vibration, hence the need for u-joints. Larger JDs are solid mount and do not have u-joints.

Don't know. Doesn't vibrate any more than the 3 JDs I had.
