I understand the 1020 jd tractors were either gas or diesel. Can i swap my gas engine for a diesel, and will it bolt up without too many problems.

I wouldnt think it would be too hard. My buddy thats a JD mechanic said it would be easy to swap my 2030 over to diesel if the gasser took a crap. Can you find a donor 1020 diesel?

I'm just starting the looking process to see if i can find a reasonably priced diesel to put in it. The gas engine still runs decent so i really dont need to hurry. I would like to know if there is anything else that they put the same engine in. That would make the search a little easier.
