02\' GMC SIERRA ?

I am getting my truck ready for state inspection and I noticed the side marker light's on the front (bottom outside corner light's) were burnt out. Picked some up at the store and installed them. When I turn on the blinker the blinker and marker light flashes which is ok but when I turn the headlight's on the marker light and blinker alternate is this normal ? I never noticed since this is the 1st inspection since new and have never needed to test all the light's. Thank's in advance.

That is normal. GM has done it that way for years. I actually just hooked the mirror turn signals up on my Chevy Trailblazer to operate also as parking/running lights and they work the same way. Isn't electricity cool? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

This is off the GMC topic line, but I had to describe what a friend found with his 200? F250. He noticed a while after buying it used that the cruise control would turn off if he used his right turn signal, but would not do that with his left turn signal. He couldn't figure out what was going on until his wife told him his right rear turn light was out. When he replaced the bulb his cruise control problem disappeared. The only thing we can think of is that maybe the cruise control uses the turn signal circuit as a ground.

That is wild. Question I have to ask though is, this is one of the vehicles affected by the cruise control fires. Wonder if that has anything to do with the fires, improper ground?
