I returned from overseas two months ago to Colorado and the weather here as help make the decision for us that sooner rather than later was the time to get a new tractor. I ended up with using the same dealer in Penrose, Co. Randy took good care of me before when I has warranty issues (minor)...

I got the hydraulic fluid and filters done. The large drain plugs require a 30 mm. I drained and replaced just shy of 10 gallons. I was surprised how the drain plugs looked. Rear plug Yes there are 2 distinct shavings on that magnet. Front plug The front axle I used a crescent wrench and...

I realized that I did not post pics of when I cleaned up my front hoses. Bought the clamps off eBay as they had free shipping and got some longer metric bolts from the local farm supply. I think in the future I will up the hose size to 1/2" to increase the flow.

    hydraulic oil

I've been researching if the Kubota meets GL4, and it's hard to determine. In other countries it looks like they list them as meeting GL4. But given that they most likely are manufacture in different facilities / countries I can say that its good to go. One example was the Canadian fluid is made...

    Compare XR4046HC to XR4150HC

So I've got over 140 hours on my XR4046HC and I was driving by the LS dealer and wanted to see how the new 3cyl turbo performed compared to my 4cly NA shibaura. I did a quick test drive and found that the turbo motor was a little rougher at lower RPMs but smoothed out with a few more RPM's At my...

I needed room for my kids to stand so I removed the plastic cover/cup holder from beside the seat. But the lever attachment point for the other model types does not leave a nice flat area. So I made up a cover plate. So now one of them can stand next to me without twisting an ankle. It's not...

When I received the tractor I removed the passenger side step first thing as it has no function since the controls are in the way for ingress/egress. I finally got around to mounting a tool box in its place. I cut apart the factory step and made some modifications. I still have to wait for the...

    Quick Attach lower mount tabs

Still not what I'm looking for, I only want the bottom tabs that have the 2 slots per side. With the exception of the top angled mount the rest will be integrated into the pallet fork frame. This is what I'm looking for

    Quick Attach lower mount tabs

Anyone know of a vender that sells QA tabs vs the whole QA plate. I'm going to be building a set of forks and it will be easier to just weld some tabs on the bottom of my lower square tube instead of adding more material by using a whole plate system welding on to the back of my fork frame. I...

I added some illuminated switches. You can actually power the factory switches. But I wanted them to be both lit when off and to lite when turned on. They are just undersized for the factory holes, so I had to epoxy them in place from the back. I tapped into the interior light for power...

    Don't wait for 50h service

I try to stay ahead of my service schedule, and during my 40h check I found my front axle bolts on the passenger side were severely loose. A few "is this right?" questions

Tractor XR4046HC Does anybody else have front tire rub on the FEL frame bracket (tube and plate)when fully articulated? Do you have issues pouring 5 gall fuel jugs into the tank......I think they should have angled the filler neck. Do any of your interior light switches light up with the...

    Danuser EP6 post hole digger

Breaking in the new tractor today we got 4 hours on it. My first thought was that I was not impressed. As the speed was nothing like a PTO 3pt unit. I could not get a clean hole. So after the first hole I tried to do it different. I would run the hole a little bit deeper, turn off the auger...

We we logged 4 hours on it delivered with 2.2 and parked at 6.2. The DPF regen cycle came on at 2.4 and I ran it at 1500rpm for 20 and it completed its cycle. One thing that I have to get use to is the speed of the auger, its nothing like a PTO. It has the power and the ability to have down...

    3-Point Hitch  4041 4047 attachment size

It looks like most of you are running 6' blades and rakes or bigger, with some running a 66" or larger box blade. What is the going consensus for size on the 404x's.
