Gas 1430 for sale on PT's site?

Thanks for all the replies and sorry it’s taken me a while to get back. As far as my diesel gos, it has about 2300 hrs. I’m pretty sure it needs a complete rebuild caused by my neglect. When it started burning oil I kept driving it and adding oil pretty often. Not often enough I guess because it...

Gas 1430 for sale on PT's site?

I just pulled the blown diesel from my oldest 1430. Before I have it rebuilt I’m looking into some of the big gas twins. I have to figure out what kind of coupler I could use. As I have two other PT’s, this one would only see light duty. ( we have all heard that one before. 🤪). Anyway, wouldn’t...

Your 1430 is behaving normally. The one I bought 2012 has behaved that way in the cold since I got it. The older one I had was more responsive. It had a different pump with bigger orifices so cold oil could flow through easier. Sometimes I put a portable jump box on the battery and use a squirt...

    PT1430 vs PT2430 NEED Advice

Depends on what you’ll be using it for. The 2430 is a better loader on level ground but not as versatile( even though all the attachments fit)as the 1430. The 1430 will do all the stuff your 425 does only it’s bigger.

Going to Tazewell tomorrow to buy.....

My butt doesn’t like 30deg on any tractor. Lol. The point I was making is the 1430 is more stable on hills than the 2430. I have both.
  22. RegL

Going to Tazewell tomorrow to buy.....

If your land is that hilly your not going to feel stable with the 2430. It’s really a flat land machine. Unless you need the extra loader height, consider the 1430.
  23. RegL

Going to Tazewell tomorrow to buy.....

The 2430 is kind of under powered for hills. Same engine as the 1430 and weighs about 1000lbs more. I like mine for loader work and light digging with back hoe. For just about everything else the 1430 is better.

Deutz engine and PT hydraulic oil cold weather warm up proceedures

If your looking at mowers narrower than the tractor, you may as well pull behind. You can offset it so your driving where you’ve already cut. And if the mower has it’s own engine it won’t be ribbing power from your tractor.

    For you snow plow owners...

I was just thinking( pretty dangerous ). Why do we PT owners feel it's so important to use rubber edges on our snow plows? Around here, about 99 percent of all driveways are plowed with pickup trucks and I have never seen one with a rubber edge. almost all have steel edges. Being that the PT...

I love my 1430 and have lots of attachments, including a the 60" finish mower. It will mow your lawn, but for the $2500 PT gets for the deck you could pick up a pretty good used commercial mower that will do the job better and faster. Use the PT for other fun stuff, I mean work.

    PT Alternate Parts Availability.

Just remember. PT, like any company, needs enough revenue to stay profitable and in business. No Sir, that young man will have to change his attitude if he wants to work for PT. The only answer I could get out of Tazewell, to the same question was, we don't recommend it.
