Winter Storm in the Southeast- What are your predictions?

    Need advice - 15-20HP

Kioti will likely be in the middle between LS and JD/Kubota. Since you mostly need a mower, then the smaller sub-compacts will do the job nicely like the Massey or LS125, or BX2380, or CS Kioti models.

I'd look at the MT225S with Yanmar 25HP and 19 at PTO - it's a compact but lifts more and has a 3 range hydro. Then as TT stated above the M125 SSQA is smaller than standard. Here's a link to another post discussing the smaller non standard SSQA...

No emissions on anything 25 HP and under - so the manufacturers are putting these "25" hp engines in larger frames (like the Kubota 2502) The "in quotes" 25 HP is because many of these same engines are in larger machines with a turbo etc. and produce 35 HP. Yes that works - as long as you can lift it. The forks weigh about 100Lbs total. A 5 ' Bush Hog is at least 800 lbs I think so you are getting real close to your limit. Edit -It's the cantilever aspect of the bush hog hanging off the front of your forks.

    Oil coming out vent tube

Agreed, and Rotella 15-40 is what I use, but Worcester may want to put in 2 gal of lower cost oil until he figures out where the excess fluid is coming from. But it;s not a huge cost delta, maybe 15$ to put in a good diesel rated oil.

    Oil coming out vent tube

See what the old oil looks like - if it thin and smells like diesel fuel, then dodge man is on the right path, and if its thin doesn't smell of diesel fuel then it may be the hyd pump seal. Also check the hydraulic oil level - it may be a sight glass or a stick not sure on that model. If's...

I'd keep the additional land separate for now as the new owner's may not have the $ today to buy and they may not "value" the land initially as they will in 1-2 years. I wasn't comparing the SHY15 but the SHY 20 to the XIX. The SHY 15 has a gear pump setup - 20+8 LPM so 28 total and the XIX 2 20LPM gear pumps and a 3 LPM pilot pump so total flow rate is higher. For the $ the XIX is the best deal IMO even comparing it to the SHY 20 machine.

    Excavator/pond/thoughts?????

That pic from "lisa" appears to be an extendahoe - can't really tell but they are very handy - neighbor has an older CAT TLB with the extendahoe 8000 hours and still going. If that local guys is a reasonable cost then go for it and you do the moving of spoils, plumbing etc needed to get it...

    Excavator/pond/thoughts?????

Fuddy - Door #4 would be my choice a new Kubota mini at cost and get one with at least 10' reach or digging depth (U35 KX33 or KX40 8-10K machines) You can run it for 2-3 years and sell it for what you paid. Yes, its going to cost 2X the Typhoon probably but a lot more machine. The Typhoon...

    Legit Rippa Dealers?

It seems since the OP started this thread that one of the Rippa dealers in GA - Robert Lee Ray has gone away from Rippa and over to Huayee as the primary North American distributor. Not sure of the reason, but while Rippa had a good reputation, it seems the quality has slipped a bit. The...

    Filling a ditch/valley

I did the same thing as Eddie when clearing land here, but only a small area 50x80' low area that water would pool after heavy rain. I filled in with dirt, rocks, roots much like you have about a foot thick then had a few loads of sandy fill dirt spread on top of that then loam and grass...

    Weird transmission leak

The loader and blower hydraulic connections are all on the right side of the tractor so could it be a fitting didn't couple tightly or a loose connection? But then you would expect a leak when operating... will be interested to hear what the diagnosis is - hopefully its something simple.

Is there any food you do not like?

I don't like or eat tripe, or fried oysters anymore (with bellies) as I had a bad oyster one time - was like eating raw sewage.

Where do you park/store your tractor?

Nice, new, shiny JD there - your bucket cutting-edge bolts look a bit on the long side tho.

Ideas to dispose of land clearing waste

I agree on the BioMass Energy plants - there are several in New England. When we had 4 acres cleared they chipped everything except the logs and sold the rest to Shiller Station in Newington NH for 30$ ton - took 6 tractor trailer loads of chips. Shiller stopped taking wood waste in 2024, but...

Put in a new Battery, got nothin' - I am not dumb, but maybe I'm not bright?

Not to interfere with the current (or lack thereof :-) ) diagnostic events, why did you need to replace the battery in the first place?

    Camp property found, now updates.

Good Neighbors are invaluable, glad they came to visit with their 2 YO - sounds like a nice family you are fortunate.

    New to me CUT TLB

I don't know exactly, and unless its causing issues I would not mess with that, I know there are guys that turn them up for more HP. All I was getting at with the ticking is its normal to get "injector knock" and ATF or additives quiet it down.
