Branson 5520H - DPF and Regen Lights both blinking twice

Unplugged the exhaust connector and let it sit for two minutes. Plugged it back in and turned key to ON position only. They're both still blinking. *flash* *flash* *pause* *flash* *flash* *pause* Unplugged connector to the DPF log piece in front the radiator. Let it sit for two minutes...

Branson 5520H - DPF and Regen Lights both blinking twice

Edit: Lights stopped blinking and were off for about 5 minutes after the rest procedure. They have since come back on again and are doing the same flashing. Have unplugged connector at exhaust. I assume this is the connector in question. DPF is new to me, I usually work on old 350 and 305...

Branson 5520H - DPF and Regen Lights both blinking twice

Thanks for the info, will give this a shot at lunch. The manual is scant on info regarding all this. Where did you find those DPF instructions?

Branson 5520H - DPF and Regen Lights both blinking twice

This is almost where I am and how all of my friends have fixed their problems haha. I'll give Boswell's reset procedure a try first though.

Branson 5520H - DPF and Regen Lights both blinking twice

Hi all, We had a decent snow here last night, about 8 or 9 inches. Fired the tractor up today to plow and my DPF and Regen light both are blinking twice then delaying. According to the manual this is a "Learning Error of the electric exhaust valve". It has scant information and just says it...

    You "Road" Your Tractor?

I do, but most of our roads in this part of North Carolina are 10ft wide one-lane dirt roads with minimal traffic, so it's low risk. Plus the roads are conducive to a trailer, although I've driven both a 16ft trailer and multiple fire apparatus on the roads without problem. The pasture that I...

Taking off pallet fork receivers from shipping on a bush hog

No, I was using the 3/8" rebar and screwdriver to hold the pin so it wouldn't rotate. I have a 3ft breaker bar with a 34mm socket I was using to actually turn the nut, but instead of just the nut turning it was turning the entire pin and while bending my rebar and screwdriver. The bolt had...

Taking off pallet fork receivers from shipping on a bush hog

Thanks all, I managed to get it off. I had tried both a screwdriver and piece of rebar prior to this post and was bending both the rebar and the screwdriver. I wound up heating the living daylights out of the nut with a torch, beating on it a couple times with a small sledge, then retried the...

Taking off pallet fork receivers from shipping on a bush hog

I'm trying to think of how I can get these pallet fork receivers off this bushhog. The only things I can think to do is: 1. Take off the pin with a socket on the nut, and a screwdriver through the hole, and hope the screwdriver can handle the force I exert on a breaker bar, which is not likely...

    Branson Tractor Lift Capacity

The front end loader weight makes sense. Wasn't sure if Branson's specs included the FEL weight as part of the 2700 or not. My tractor weighs upwards of 6k though. The rear tires have beet juice ballast, and I use a set of cast iron disks from 1910 on the rear to counterbalance. Those of us...

    Branson Tractor Lift Capacity

That makes sense, I was hoping to be able to handle bulk 1 ton feed totes with this tractor, but it looks like that may be questionable now.

    Branson Tractor Lift Capacity

Hi all, My 5520H is rated at 2700lbs lift capacity I believe. The other day I hooked up my set of pallet forks (350lb weight) then slide them under a pallet of 45 cinderblocks (35lbs each * 45 = 1575lbs) for a total weight of 1925lbs. The tractor hydraulics were about maxed out at that...

    Dumb Question - Branson 5520H - Cat 1 or Cat 2?

Hi all, Trying to find if the 5520H comes with a cat 1 hitch or cat 2 hitch? I found some specs for a TYM 5520H, which I believe makes Branson, and theirs is showing as Cat 1 hitch. Is Branson a Cat 1 as well? https://tym.world/en-us/products/tractors/compact/series-3/5520/

What part of the hydraulic system is this?

Hi all, Just to update, there was no easy way to scrap something together because of the angles in that steel suction line. Wound up having a friend come over (who has a utility truck with a small crane) and we pulled loader off, then pulled the loader bracket off and put an OEM replacement...

What part of the hydraulic system is this?

The coupling I used was OK for a temp fix to get the tractor out of its precarious position, but it leaked far too much to be a permanent fix, so the tractor has been dead for the past few weeks as I've worked on other chores. Unsure how to couple these two pipes together now. Any other...

What part of the hydraulic system is this?

Correct, there is a rubber 90 degree elbow joining them. Now the elbow that I used is from Branson and is rated for hydraulic suction. It's actually the same exact part as the 90 degree elbow pictured here on the suction line. I just ordered another one to join the two halves.

What part of the hydraulic system is this?

Well, I took a look at the sight glass again after I parked it for several minutes, and let it sit on a fairly level surface (as level as I can be on top of a 3600ft ridge) and it looks like the hydraulic oil is actually a tad bit below the 1/3 level prescribed by the manual. You can see the...

What part of the hydraulic system is this?

No unusual noises. One of the hose clamps does have a minor leak. A drip every 10 seconds or so. Could be drawing air through there. I'll see if I tighten it up if the stuttering goes away. Will try draining it

By the way, here is the piece that took the impact from the stump. You can see how crushed it was.

What part of the hydraulic system is this?

Well I got the return line *mostly* fixed and in an operational state. I bought an entire new pipe and then cut the old pipe and new pipe at the same place, then coupled them together with a 90 degree hydraulic return line elbow. After the fix and a hydraulic refill I was able to drive the...

What part of the hydraulic system is this?

I may wind up having to go that route in the end to get the tractor into a limp mode. I got the bolt off with an offset wrench, but the pipe seems to go through a hole in the frame of the tractor. Haven't figured out yet if it's even possible to feed the pipe through the hole and pull it out...

What part of the hydraulic system is this?

Well, I tried to bend that steel pipe back onto the nipple, but I can't move it anywhere near the degree to which it needs to be moved. The pipe is too bent/crushed out of shape, so it looks like I need to replace the entire pipe. To remove the pipe I need to disconnect the other end. I've...

Thanks sandman, if they both work I'll go for the more expensive, and probably higher quality Shell then. Appreciate it y'all. Will post back when the repair is done.

What part of the hydraulic system is this?

Thanks K5! Looking at my manual, I'm supposed to use Texaco TDH Oil 1893 to refill. I live in the middle of nowhere and don't see that stocked anywhere, nor do I see Mobil 424 which other posts on here said they've used. I have the following 2 fluids available: Traveller Brand...

What part of the hydraulic system is this?

Hello all, I was clearing a bunch of small trees and saplings on our mountain farm with my 5520H for some chicken pasture and my tractor managed to find an old stump hiding in a leaf pile. The stump bent/dented the pictured hose and pulled it off of what looks like the outlet from a filter...

Branson 5520 - Beeping 3 times + Exhaust light on

Here's some pics of my 5520H, as requested. I worked her a lot in the summer and fall with our poultry operation, we raise and butcher close to 1000 poultry a year. I've hung deer and hogs off her too when we need meat. We only have a few acres, but the grades are as high as 35%, so I needed...

Branson 5520 - Beeping 3 times + Exhaust light on

Perfect, appreciate it! I've been running all over the farm looking for where my manual wound up. I'll try to trigger the light and will follow those steps now before it gets too late. My regen button lost the little plastic button cap courtesy of my daughter sitting on the seat, but I...

Branson 5520 - Beeping 3 times + Exhaust light on

Hello all, I can't find my manual around the house else I'd be looking it up there. I have a new May 2022 Branson 5520H with 59 hours on it. This light came on yesterday when I was driving it in a high gear and running it at high RPMs. The tractor beeps 3 times when this light comes on. I...

New Branson 5520 - Hazards stuck on after rain/snow

Thanks tractorsam. For others that may come across this: I got the hazards to quit by tapping on the switch housing with my finger. This morning, with the hazards still off, the tractor started clicking almost as if a solenoid was getting signal. I talked to my dealer this morning and they...

New Branson 5520 - Hazards stuck on after rain/snow

I have a new Branson 5520 that I got 2 days ago, it has 4 hours on it. We been getting snow and rain the past 2 days up here in the NC mountains. I store it in a pole barn with a roof that leaks some water, but is far better than out in the elements. This afternoon I went out to feed some of...
