Lawn mowing with your CS/CX. Loaded tires or no? Mid mount or 3pt? Flail or Finish mower?

Thanks for comments/suggestions so far. I do have a very good homeowner's zero turn (one of those Cub Cadet with steering wheel, serviceable transmission and Kawasaki FR730V) but part of my "excuse" for upgrading from a CS to a CX cab isn't to replace the zero turn but to enhance my time and...

Lawn mowing with your CS/CX. Loaded tires or no? Mid mount or 3pt? Flail or Finish mower?

I have a nice zero turn but like to use my newly purchased CX2510 Cab as a lawn mowing machine in summer time for comfort, safety (poison ivy, thorny bushes), and to maximize its use especially during full warranty period. I have 2.5 acres relatively flat terrain (with some mowing around fence...

CX vs. CK20SE cab as a CS/NX replacement?

I ended up going with CX Cab because it suits my current landscaping needs better; might get a 6' finish or 5' flail mower (instead of belly mower) this spring to make it an air conditioned mowing machine assuming it can mow clean at higher speed (it takes 2 hours/mow with a prosumer grade zero...

CX2501 Cab vs. CK2620SE Cab, resale value after 2 years

I ended up going with CX cab (landscaping use) to go with NX cab (construction use). Maybe in a year or 2 when I am done building/NX, I can downsize my fleet selling the NX and upgrading the CX to a CK.

CX2501 Cab vs. CK2620SE Cab, resale value after 2 years

Trying to upgrade a CS to either CX2501 or CK2620SE cab, got a great trade-in value for CS to make it considerable. Wondering which of these 2 will hold value better after 1-2 years since I might trade it in for a larger (so I can sell off a NX too). Seems to me CX appeals to more...

    Those with CX2510's?

+me as another indecisive CX2501 or CK2620SE Cab shopper. I am upgrading from a CS which I really like for clearing weedy trees and bushes while not beating up lawns around too badly, but want a cab so I can stay away from elements and poison ivy/thorny bushes. CX most logical and I already...

CX vs. CK20SE cab as a CS/NX replacement?

Nice looking CK. Cabin does look more airy/spacious than CX's.

CX vs. CK20SE cab as a CS/NX replacement?

Thanks for CK suggestion. How is your lawn/turf holding up with your CK cab? Any suggestions on tires, 2WD vs. 4WD?

New cx2510 cab or used ck2610 cab?

Great discussion; I too am debating between CX/CK20SE cab to replace a CS/NX. Like the CK20SE cab for what it has and can do, but fearful about how it will beat up lawns on loaded R14's. And like the CX but it doesn't do much more than a CS. I think I will go for the CX because it can do what...

CX vs. CK20SE cab as a CS/NX replacement?

I have an NX cab (which I use to lift heavy things higher, and do construction things), and got a CS early 2023 to clear weedy trees, thorn bushes and poison ivy, because it's much lighter on lawns and still able to do what I intended, except I now wish for a cab so I can stay cool/warm, dry and...

3/8" ag couplers going to 1/2" couplers?

Thanks for all the inputs definitely a lot of food for thoughts. And I am going with Ericm979's suggestion and converting everything to 1/2" couplers.

Grapple ideas and how are these companies?

Thanks for all the inputs so far. I am mainly looking at the Virnig V30 because it looks well built and strong enough to handle my 2 tractors (22hp and 55hp. 1200 & 3000 lb loader capacity perspectively). My main use is to rake/grab/move underbrush, old discarded logs, junk and yard debris.

3/8" ag couplers going to 1/2" couplers?

Thanks for replying yeah I was hoping to skip the hose building or fitting replacing process with a simple adapter/reducer but not sure if there is one. Maybe I need to build a pigtail hose 1-2 ft long but with right couplers at the end; which begs the question, can a short hose handle 1/2"...

Grapple ideas and how are these companies?

Looks from pic you have a V30 URG54 grapple. How is your B2301 handling the 250 lb grapple and how are you ballasting the back end? I am looking at the same grapple or 60" (300 lb) and appreciate your firsthand experience. Thank you.

3/8" ag couplers going to 1/2" couplers?

Newbie with simple question hope for a simple solution. I am buying a grapple to use on my compact (3/8" ag couplers) and utility tractor (1/2" ag couplers). Grapple can come with either 3/8" or 1/2" couplers but is there an adapter that can go from 3/8" to 1/2" (or vice versa)? Or do I need...

    Kioti zero turn mowers

I know many will look down at Cub Cadet ZT's, but it's the only one with steering wheel (going straight over bumps, beer drinking, and holding its line on hills). And if you splurge a little you can get a decent engine (Kawasaki FR's) with serviceable transmission (ZT3100 or ZT2800). I like...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Yeah that is why I inquired about $ for door assembly, in case I get the towing company to respond but they playing possum so far despite of my actually speaking to them on phone. I will write them formally before trying to shame them via reviews. Door is slightly smaller than 36x60 at 1/4"...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Thank you Midniteoyl and Threepoint. On hydraulics I definitely am incline to have 3 sets in the back and 3rd function up front (grapple up front, flail mower or even possibly a real vertical mast type of forklift in the back), and will likely go factory or MIE, since I like MIE's Top-n-Tilt...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Got the NX home; unfortunately suicide door and speed don't mix. Left side door flew open in transit, shattered the glass and maybe hyper-extended the hinges. So before any hydraulic pimping I got to hunt down a replacement glass. But she sure is purring nicely.

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

DK35vince thanks for that encouraging experience. And Threepoint after seeing how small HF wheel dolly is, and how big a tractor wheel lift (amazing what's on Youtube) is, I can definitely see a laughable size difference. I guess it's like shooting BB's at a bear, it may get the job done but...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Hi Threepoint, there is an elusive factory 3rd function kit for NX, P/N: NXA127. I only came across it while looking for tractors on Facebook Marketplace. No idea if Kioti rebranded someone else's kit, or made one in house (they do sell NX's globally), but I am hoping it would be well...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Ha yes another IBC tote and a little more fuel is a lot cheaper than buying an RX. I think I was using the 2500 lb line to size a step-up tractor (from a JD 1025R) that I will be happy with, and NX is that. I'd like self-leveling loader (of RX) but not for $50K; so I will have something to...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Hi PEJ5 thanks for doing some calculations and got me reliving Physics classes (unfortunately most I remember is how dreadful 8 am Physics class/quizzes/tests were in Minnesota). Now that I bought a NX instead of just thinking which one, I guess a good way to test is start off with an empty...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Will do, trying to learn about all the fluids/filters and so many buttons on manuals. Already seeing debates about what are the best fluids (Synthetic vs blend, and Delvac vs. Rotella vs. Tractor Supply) for HST and CDI and hydraulics. And thinking about spending some money to download NX shop...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Midniteoyl thanks for those weight number. It's a 6 ft Kioti bushhog I think. And thank you Threepoint for suggesting NX. I bought it. One owner 513 hour (2015) NX5510 HST Cab that spent its entirety on a 35 acre horse farm shoveling poop and brush hogging (and seasonal bale moving). HST...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Thank you Threepoint for the invite. I am in country part of Montgomery County (ok maybe not too country but surrounded by horse folks). And this "new" house I just moved into is a 103 year old house with a 5 car garage and 12 ft shop door. So I have room for big toys (scissor lift, and a new...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Midnoteoyl, you are right about beating up yard. I will be using it mostly on matured lawns so lighter tractor + turf tires better. I have not been able to locate a NX (new or used) within 100 miles from the DC area and kind of apprehensive about ordering something sight unseen. Seen a few...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Ah the bounces (I forgot). I guess I best have at least a 500 lbs overage (20% of 2500 lbs) on capacity just to be safe. Looks like a RX or TYM x54 frame size would better suit for my needs, and the self-leveling loader would probably keep whatever I am forking more balanced.

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Thank you Threepoint for giving me something to think about. My main use is rough terrain forklift for 2500 lb (scissor lift, full IBC water tote, shed/sauna or raised garden planters on pallets). I know I could buy an used forklift (that lifts a lot) for less but I have been wanting a bigger...

    DK10SE HST Cab, which engine

Hi everyone, newbie here. Thought a 1025R is all the tractor I ever need but want to get a new and reasonably priced heated/AC cab, bigger size for bigger root grapple (66-72"), and more lifting capacity to move a 2500 lb scissor lift over lawn/gravel. Was ready to buy a DK4210SE HST Cab but a...
