    Replacing fuel line?

Yes I believe it's the same style fitting as what is up at the fuel tank as well. I couldn't get a reasonable photo today since the sun wasn't shining out here in the northeast!

    Replacing fuel line?

Yes - the original picture was in fact a connection into the wall of the fuel tank. In this last photo it's a bit blurry but that's the same connection point.

Jinma 284 fuel leak and rad leak

OK so it looks like this line goes directly to injectors. The other end looks very similar connection-wise

    Replacing fuel line?

OK so it appears that this is going directly to injectors - I believe? Just thought I'd show both ends here

    Replacing fuel line?

And just to clarify, the new rubber portion will have to be a larger diameter if we're intending it to go OVER the top of the existing tube, correct? In other words, the rubber line will now serve as the "female" and the metal tube will become the "male" ... am I following correctly?

Jinma 284 fuel leak and rad leak

Thanks so much - I'll have to figure out the size somehow! Will check with a parts distributor to see if they can help out

Jinma 284 fuel leak and rad leak

Thanks - is there a special tool I'll need to use to remove from clamp and re-clamp? Never done it before.

    Replacing fuel line?

Can anyone advise how to go about replacing this fuel line on a Jinma 284? I'm not too mechanically inclined so I could benefit from pretty explicit feedback! Thanks in advance

Jinma 284 fuel leak and rad leak

UPDATE: No real issue in the location that I anticipated - turns out that the fuel filter was just a bit loose and was dripping all over the lines below, injectors, etc... However - I did notice the immediate line out of the tank is cracked and seeping slightly - doesn't look like too much...

Jinma 284 fuel leak and rad leak

Thank you for the feedback - I will get some photos after leaning things up to get a better idea of where it's originating. Yes - temps have dropped, I'm in the northeast and temps have been fluctuating a lot over the past couple weeks. I'm a new owner of the tractor so I'm not sure of its...

I'd be happy to grab some photos if that's helpful for people to help with assessment!

Jinma 284 fuel leak and rad leak

Hi all, A disclaimer - I'm not very mechanically inclined and would benefit from very explicit info for any feedback! I definitely have some fuel leak(s) going on with my Jinma 284. Hard to tell exactly where/how many points are leaking. I have fuel dribbling pretty steady off the bottom of...

For all I know the damn kill lever was probably engaged :geek::geek::geek:

    Engine seized???

UPDATE: Strangely, we've gotten it started up just fine, after a strange series of events. Long story short - I towed it to my regular mechanic, who pulled off the hydraulic pump off the front of the crankshaft and attempted to turn it over by hand on the front crank. No luck. Not sure of...

    Engine seized???

Thank you - can you or anyone else on here give me an idea of what would be a reasonable cost for a rebuild / complete replacement? At this point I'm worried about shelling out more cash.

    Engine seized???

Update: Seems that something has seized internally - they pulled the hydraulic pump up front and still aren't getting anything to turn over. May need to be rebuilt or replaced as a result... Seems like the worst case scenario... Went from running fine to completely seized up. Really...

    Engine seized???

Ended up having it winched onto a flatbed to my mechanic - I don't have what I need to do the labor on it right now! I'll report back on what they find out.

    Engine seized???

Thanks - unfortunately the bucket is dropped so I can't really get it to budge much on my own. I will see what I can do though. That may be an option.

    Engine seized???

Unfortunately I can't seem to get a socket on there - because the crankshaft leads forward directly into a hydraulic pump mounted on the front frame bracket. So, I can't figure out how to get leverage on the crankshaft up front, as a result!

Thank you! Will let y'all know how it goes.

    Engine seized???

For what it's worth, just checked intake for scent and it doesn't smell like any kind of living creature was in there... haven't unbolted anything yet though.

    Engine seized???

No - I had just purchased the tractor and it didn't have one on - when I inspected it there was no blow-by, so I thought it was lucky to not have any issues yet. I had bought an air filter to install that day I went out there. Went to start it to move it to make the installation easier, and...

    Engine seized???

Thank you - a good thing for me to check - it's very possible that the hydraulic pump seized up. Would adding hyd. fluid be the only intervention to make in order for compression to return to it, or do I need to do something more? I was afraid of this... I had meant to stuff some steel wool...

    Engine seized???

Thank you - can you advise how to go about turning it over by hand? Is cranking on the flywheel advised or is there a better option? It's hard to get leverage in the small window that's open for the starter assembly to fill.

    Engine seized???

Hi all, Jinma 284 owner! Unfortunately I don't have a ton of knowledge of the history of this tractor, as I just purchased it a couple months ago. I also don't have a ton of mechanical knowledge or understanding, so bear that in mind as well. To start, the tractor was running fine upon purchase...
