My dual voltage Miller [emoji638][emoji637][emoji637] has done everything I’ve ever asked of it. Took a welding class at the local community college, but the auto-set feature makes it so easy even a big dummy can make decent welds.

I recently priced a low hour used Kubota cab tractor vs the same model new. A three year old Kubota with three hundred hours was sixteen thousand dollars less. I’ll take that.

Plenty of folks buy too small then trade up. Or financial priorities change and they don’t want a payment anymore. I’m so cheap I’d gladly save thousands by buying a low hour used tractor.

Sounds like you need a ZT for around the house and an offset flail mower for the ditches and pond banks. A Ferris ZT with suspension is the way to go IMO. Lots of options for offset flails.

You could split the difference with a L3560. A little more weight and lift capacity than the L4802, not as big as an MX or larger framed Grand L. The L3560 costs less than a L4802 too.

Consider if you’ll want/need rear remotes for top and tilt or an offset flail mower to mow your pond banks. The Grand L’s have better ergonomics for placement of the rear remote levers as well as more weight.

TTWT got a new Yanmar YT359C. Will be enjoyable to follow along and see how it works out.

Wade, consider getting the tractor with two rear remotes so you can get top and tilt for that box blade. You’ll be glad you did so you don’t have to hop on and off the tractor twenty times every time you want to adjust your box blade.

That’s a good metric, thanks for posting. It’s confusing the way Yanmar lists the weight of the YT’s in the brochure. Up close they’re every bit as big as a Kubota Grand L.

I see what you’re sayin but I’d be surprised if that were true. The Kubota L3560 is 3500lbs bare tractor and the YT359 is longer, wider, has a larger displacement engine, and larger tires. Most tractor manufacturers assemble their tractors in the USA. I don’t know where the line is drawn on what’s an import and what’s not, but they may do this as a way to circumvent potential tariff wars.

I’d hedge towards a B or LX series Kubota to handle 5ft implements. You’ll need the weight and wheelbase to handle them. A flail mower would satisfyingly obliterate blackberry bushes.

Believe Massey has the highest implement hydraulic flow rate at 12.6gpm on their 1800M and 2600M series tractors. SSQA plus two gear driven hydraulic pumps, one for steering at 7gpm and one for implements at 12.6gpm, 19.6gpm total. Check the requirements on your desired implements for compatibility.

A Kubota L2502 would work well for your needs and wouldn’t break the budget.

Hadn’t heard anything about Yanmar moving towards turbo’s. Looks like they make power the old fashioned way with displacement. However, the Yanmar engines in quite a few John Deere’s are turbocharged. Go figure.

Shop the transaxle. Avoid the non-serviceable K46. I have a 2016 JD X590 with the K72 and it’s been excellent. I paid $7500 back then but with inflation it’s close to $10k now.

I always found the treadle pedal and brakes on the right side as found on the 01 series to be a poor design decision. That’s fixed on the new 02 series so I’d personally lean in that direction. An L3560LE would be superior to both for not much more coin.

Are you talking about the new L3302 vs the older 3901? The new 02 series have quite a few upgrades like electric PTO switch, brakes on the left, LED headlights, etc. If you’re comparing the 3301 to 3901 just go with the 3901 for more power in the same frame.

John Deere owns the garden tractor market. No one else offers a diesel powered GT that I’m aware of. Even their X500 series is head and shoulders above the rest IMO. That said, garden tractors are a dying breed with zero turns having taken over the lawn mowing market.

I purchased a Diamond C 24ft 14K tilt with pop-up 12k winch recently. IMHO, it’s the slickest setup you can get. Full 8” I-beam construction. Just towed it cross country with no issues.

Compare the L3560 Limited Edition to the L3902. Last I checked they were within $2K of each other.

The Kubota L3560 costs slightly more than the L3902 and is a whole lot more tractor. Something to think about….

This should be a good thing and I hope Yanmar offers a good mid-size compact tractor between the YT235 and the YT/YM347. It’s a big jump between those models going from a 63in to a 75in wheelbase. Yanmar needs a good 70in wheelbase offering with HST and about 3000lb bare tractor weight.

Exactly 4510lbs empty. Diamond C weighs each trailer after production then makes the GVWR sticker individually.

The winch box has 1” steel pins that lock it in place and keep it from folding down under load. There’s a deck roller to prevent friction on the winch line while winching with the deck tilted. I’ll get some pics of the locking pins.

Thanks for nice comments fellas. To answer the question above, there’s a bed roller on the leading edge of the tilt bed that allows the winch line to smoothly roll across when it’s in the down position. If you look close you can see it in the pics.

There have been a few new Tundras with turbo wastegate issues requiring removal of the cab to reach the turbo on the back of the engine. It’s not just old Ford 6.0/6.4 diesel guys with their trucks in the shop with the cabs removed anymore. Not a good look for Toyota.

Diamond C probably has the nicest dump and equipment trailers. Made in USA, huge V tongue storage box, sacrificial board brackets, and optional 7 gauge construction are all nice features. However, I’m sure they cost more than the options you listed above.
