Weird grinding with clutch pedal pushed in, silent when out

Hey All, I just picked up a pretty nice TYM/Mahindra 4110 at an auction "with a new clutch" Well, it runs and drives great as long as you never push the clutch in! Then I get the weirdest grinding noise, almost like two plastic hair combs rubbing together very fast. It doesn't necessarily...

3-hoses on loader valve - what does what?

There are 3 hoses on my loader valve - what does what? Red: Orange: Green: . I would like to add a remote for my log splitter, which has pioneer couplings and it's own control valve. .

3-point frozen - no up or down?

My 3-point hitch is "stuck" in one spot. It's about 2/3's of the way up. The knob under the seat makes no difference. It won't go up or down, but the loader works fine. Does anyone know how to access the valve that controls the 3-pt? It is "position only" no draft. 3510i (very similar to 3520R)

    What did I BREAK?!?

Best I can tell, I possibly need either a new shift fork (#4) or a new #16, which rotates on the shaft to slide the fork "fore-and aft"

    What did I BREAK?!?

I was doing some light shredding with a 48" shredder behind my 2006 3510i I was in 1000 RPM selection, and running 1300 rpm in 2nd range, 1st gear. I hit a tree stump in the weeds, and killed the tractor. I started it back up, but lost BOTH the raise & lower function of the 3-pt... and lost...

    I'm Done With Branson

Who knows.... It's been almost 30 YEARS since J.I. Case and International Harvester merged.... today, we have this:

    Cold starting

If you can get the points of a dial caliper into the groove where a freeze plug sets, you can order the appropriate size block heater. I think they are made all the way down to 18mm. Agreed with the others - a lower radiator hose heater works beautifully, but ONLY if installed in the vertical...

    Oil filter for 4720ch

I agree... I'm very curious to know which specification changed enough to warrant a revised part/part number. Manufacturers just don't do that without a reason. Having said that, If a little extra capacity is all that's needed, there's the Wix 51347/Napa 1347 Oil Filter if that's what the...

    clutch problem

Sounds like the center splined hub tore loose from the rest of the clutch disc. If that's' the case, a good "clutch & brake shop" can fix it by replacing the sheared rivets. I hear splitting these tractors is a "bear"... :-(

Spark arrestor on the Branson/Century Muffler

I doubt modern diesels throw many sparks, especially with mutli-pass & baffled mufflers... My old 1951 International TD-9 would spit a spark one in a great while, but that was a straight pipe. Mine too - took me 30 seconds to figure out where all the DANG dust was coming from!! (I thought it...

    Check your lug bolts!

My first "failure", at 144 hours: lifted the front end with the loader to just routinely check spindle bearings, and noticed the RH side lug bolts were all loose. Some of the bolts were already about 1/4 inch threaded out. Of course, no one has any 14mm x 1.5mm grade 10.9 bolts locally. I'll...

    I bought a Cummins A1700 parts book

I bought a "Genuine Cummins" A1700 engine parts book. AMAZINGLY, even though this is a USA Cummins book, the "Fuel Injection Pump Assembly" listed in the book clearly states it is made by Doowon Industries. Both the oil and the fuel filters reference a Fleetguard part number. I'm really...

    Relay Switches 4720i

As long as you can determine which two contacts energize the electromagnet, and which two contacts are the switch.... you can wire in a universal relay to get things going again.

What have you done to your Branson today?

That made me chuckle :-) I added a "first line of defense" fuel filter down near where both tanks are "Tee'd" together, but it's not plumbed in just yet. It fits very nicely in this location. I didn't necessarily spend any money - - this was all stuff "I just had laying around". Filter mount...
