    Made her shine

I'll disagree that keeping your tractor clean isn't important. As important as checking the oil, no, of course not, but never the less its an important part of maintaining equipment. Giving her a good wash is about more than making the paint shine, I think most anyone would admit that. Applying...

    Made her shine

Some people don't wash their cars either, doesn't mean it's a good idea. I like to do at least a little cleaning from time to time..and if anyone doesn't know, the new ceramic coating are more durable, and a lot quicker and easier to apply than a typical wax....

    Made her shine

This was the spray ceramic from Adam's. Started using it on the cars last year and love it. I've washed my truck 2-3 times, by hand (not a car wash) since applying it the first time and it still beads up well. I'll do a full clean and a new coat before winter. The tractor was super dirty. Broke...

What have you done with/to your GC Series 2300, 2400, 1700 Tractor TODAY

Got a new toolbox, this is the bottom of the 56" Husky. Lifted it up on some clamp on pallet forks to install the caster. Gotta be 300+ lbs. The spec weight on the pair (top and bottom) is 542.

Any else put a ceramic coating on their GC? Just me? Sure makes a tractor shine. Passed 400 hour today

Do any GC owners fill the tires for weight?

I do, rimguard in the rears, I think they are over 100lbs. It helps overall, but I could do without just as well. If I need to replace the tires for some reason, I will probably skip it. For snow blowing, I take the backhoe off, way to light in the front. I put on a ballast box with 3-400 lbs.

    Gc1720 engine whining noise

Hey All, Haven't posted in a while, but got a problem I could use the brain trust to weigh in on. Up to about 310 hours on my GC1720. Didn't get much use with the blower over the winter, but have mowed a few time already. Noticed a whining noise from the engine. See the video below. I am in...

    New front tires for GC1720

Well, you can see here what the problem was. In the end, I took the path of least resistance and just put on a new set of the Carlisle multitrack c/s, which is what thy come with. I talked with the local tire shop about set of 6ply turf tires that Kenda makes. He didn't seem to think it would...

    New front tires for GC1720

I run turf tires on my GC1720. I've had some problems recently. I had a slow leak in one of the fronts. I was ignoring it, but then I ran over something and popped the other front good and proper. I brought both to a tire shop and they patched them. Not a week later, either I ran over something...

    AGCO ST35X

I can't help with direct experience, but it does seem that by the specs, this tractor will do what you want. Massey Ferguson is owned by AGCO, along with a bunch of other stuff. The ST35, just like the GC series is actually an Iseki built tractor, badged for AGCO. I believe the stopped selling...

Loader Quick Attach for DL95 (GC1700 series tractors)

Not to burst any bubbles, it does look like Massey may have their own factory quick attach now. See this youtube video. And this video. I think they may have an SSQA option also. I've also recently seen mention of a 54" bucket option for the loader, a 16: bucket option for the backhoe. Massey...

    B2650 Grass catcher?

I have a Protero PV-18 PTO. Got it in the fall of 2013. Cost a bit north of $3K, probably more expensive than the Kubota bagging unit, but has worked very well for me. I couldn't tolerate the size of a tow behind unit for the weekly mowing. Picking up the fall leaves would be one thing, but I...

Mowing Mid mount mower PTO shaft source? (MF 2326 drive over MMM)

Sounds like you need items 6,7, and 8? Seems to be a bit more than $300 in part from Jacks small engines... Your dealer was probably quoting you an entire new shaft, not just the half you need.

Comparison Where do u get your replacement AGCO parts

Jacks small engines has many part, just google the part number to find others, but there isn't a "discount" supplier of MF parts out there online if thats what you are looking for. My dealer usually has parts for the same price, or better than online anywhere I have found.

    Snow GC2410 TLB / MF2360 Snowblower

Haven't had much snow here in CT since I got my GC1720 with blower just over a year ago, but I have yet to break a shear pin..and it ate a newspaper (small local paper) in the last storm. So I would at least have a conversation with the dealer or get some additional opinions on the forums, there...

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

They are around back, item #29 on the drawing below. Massey use RAD manufacturing, same as Kubota, for the snowblowers. I wonder if the main housing is common between the two, and Kubota uses shoes on the side, and Massey uses shoes in the back...

Mowing Kubota Bagger for BX 70 Series

I really like my Protero PV18-PTO model. Its a little bigger than the traditional bag units, no worry about bags wearing out, quick dump from the seat, and ie generic, so take it from tractor to tractor is you ever change.

    Trailer/leaf vaccum

Just throwing out another option. I collect my clippings all season, but I have a complicated lawn with lots of obstacles, so didn't want to tow something behind me. Its got less capacity than tow behind at 14.5 bushels, but is quick dump from the seat via a lever over the left shoulder. Its...

Picking up logs, grapple or thumb? Advice please.

Late to the game as I was out of the country last week for business, but was able to grab a couple of pics and a quick (poor quality) video of how I use the bucket thumb. You can see my general technique is to approach the log with the bucket vertical, close the thumb on the log, then curl. I...

    GC1720 died, won't restart

Popped the fuse again... After I replaced the fuse, I really just dove around the yard and put the tractor to bed. Decided to mow today. Usually takes about an hour, maybe a little less. Got about 30 minutes into it and she died, same fuse. I replaced it, started the tractor back up, and it...

    GC1720 died, won't restart

Well, putting lots of hours on my machine (for me anyway). Need to do the 50 hour service soon, but ran into a problem today. Piranha tooth bar for GC1720 with DL95 loader

Hey guys, sorry for the delay in my own pics. I did get it mounted up, with a similar fit as shown above. Looks like they cute he tooth bar a bit short and bend/angle the mounts to meet the bucket width. This obviously allows some variation or small errors on the measuring side.

Piranha tooth bar for GC1720 with DL95 loader

Who has a Piranha tooth bar for their GC with the DL95 Loader? I contacted Expanded and was told to measure the inside bucket dimension about 3" back. I got 47&7/8. New GC1720

Well, I did it, I upgraded my 2012 GC2400 to a 2015 GC1720. How to compare loader specs

Hey all, I've been thinking about upgrade my GC2400. One possibiity is moving up to a GC1710/20, but I've been pricing out a more significant option, moving to a kubota b2601. Reviewing specs on various machine got me thinking about what numbers are really meaningful to a user. Here are some...

    Grapple bucket for SCUT?

Hey all. I currently have a Massey Ferguson GC2400 and I'm interested in adding a grapple thumb to my bucket. I assume Axlehub is working with the manufacturer to make a version for the DL95. I recently had a quote of $799+shipping for a DL100 version. Re: Bagging Mower For Fields (no manicured lawn) & Something Else for Everything Else Wow...can't believe you mow 8 areas with a 21" mower. I grew up mowing ~2 areas of grass with a 3.5hp toro push mower, seems like I wasted away my childhood pushing that thing around...and I didn't bag! I...

    Size difference between B50/B3200 & B01/B20

Anyone mowing with a B50 series?

Title say sit all. Anyone out there using their B2650/B3350 with a MMM yet? Most of the threads I have seen, everyone has them set up for winter. I was wondering how they are mowing since they have a floating deck design as opposed to the typical hanging deck I see on most tractors...

Tow vehicle and trailer combo recommendation for me

I'm mostly a lurker here, but I thought it time to start asking some questions. Sometime in the next year, I'll be in the market for a new vehicle. Since I also need a trailer, I thought I should look for a trailer first, then look for vehicles which are capable of safetly towing it. Overall...
