I added a relay after my starter solenoid failed(3616). The old guy at the auto electric shop that my dealer sent me to fixed me up with a new solenoid that I installed on my starter. A lot cheaper than a new complete starter.

I did something similar, turned a long 12 mm bolt to just fit the hole and cut a new thread for a 1/2 nyloc so the shear bolt contacted the full thickness of the outer yoke.

Our JD rotary deck uses a metric shear bolt. Used an equivalent sized standard bolt, lasted seconds. The slightly smaller diameter of the standard bolt allowed just enough movement to shear the bolt when the clutch grabbed. Just another thing to check.

i think you may sharing the neutral with both the light, gfci and fan but not having all the power going through the gfci. My money would be to splice the 2 whites together with a tail to the line side of the GFCI plug. Then the fan and light are not on the GFCI, only the plug.

You need to size the hp and pump to the lift (head) and flow needed. If the head is too big or too small the motor could be overloaded ( causing the thermal ol’ to trip). You could try to close the taps down to limit the flow. An ammeter and the pump curve are your friends.

I am about to weld some ears for mounting a hydraulic cylinder on my back blade. The welder at work recommender to preheat them before welding (1" thick onto 1/2" backing plate). I did not think to ask him how hot to get them before welding. Thanks, Cam

Work continues as time permits (having a job does get in the way). I have tacked up things as you can see in order to measure and cut the next pieces. I have drilled and tapped holes for the pivot shaft covers and positioned the top pivot bracket for measuring the mounting pieces. Cam
