Hi. Looking to do some private clearing in a rocky and/or steep area. Invasive brush like Russian olive and dense trees from 1/2 to 6 inches. Does anyone have experience with the Seppi BMS mini fixed tooth mulch head on a midi excavator? Seppi mulch heads in general? Other suggestions for...

    Stump 1 - Kubota 5460 0

So, my son was brushing hogging a field yesterday with the 5460 Grand L and ran over a stump. It ripped off both of the 3rd function hoses in back of the right front tire; pushed up the fuel tank cross over line protection and dented one of the hydraulic filters. Tractor was blowing hydraulic...

    New tractor, great dealer

Really liked my 5240 HSTC. The loader was strong and the cab comfortable whether plowing in a snowstorm or brush hogging on a 90 degree sunny day. I bought it used and put another 800 hours on it with only normal maintenance. But as the hours built up I started looking for a replacement. I...

It has a Geith coupler and I'm installing a Geith pin on hydraulic thumb. The bottom of the thumb is held to the bottom...

    Yanmar blowby or ?

I looked at a Volvo ECR88 excavator with a four cylinder Yanmar 60 horsepower engine today. The engine is early emissions so it has a sealed crankcase vent rather than a drip tube. 3100 hours and maintenance looked good. It was stored outside and started up in 30 degree weather with just a...

    Tires  rear wheel width

So the new (to me) tractor is in the garage and I can't tell if the rear wheels (R4) are in the widest position. The centers are dished out, the rim lugs are external to the center and the valve stems are facing in. Can I get more clearance if I move the wheels so the valve stems face out?

    Kubota Grand L advice

I am looking to jump from an open station B (2410) to a Grand L cab. I test drove a 4240 HSTC-3 and the auto up/downshift feature seemed smooth with almost no jump. I drove a used 5240 HSTC-1 and there was a pretty abrupt jump between low and high? Is the shift supposed to be noticeable? Is...
