7/30 Update Finally had a chance to play around with the tractor again. I pulled the input(?) wire off the starter solenoid, and tested the connector...I get 11.9v with the key switched to the "CRANK" position. Seems like it would be enough voltage to close the solenoid, but not 100% sure. I...

Here's what I've been able to check so far... Battery reads 12.34v with no load. Not ideal, but should be enough to at least engage the starter. I tried a different jump pack, and was getting 15+ volts to the battery...which dropped to 14.8 or so with the key engaged. I did a load test...

Oddly enough, I have three different Kubotas with FEL's, and it's the only one to ever break a pivot pin. That being said, my old '07 4330 (if I remember correctly, it's been replaced with a MX5400) and newer 7060 both have the external zerk fittings on the pins.

At least once its been on the opposite side, where the rod is for bucket position. The pins are exactly the same, with the exception of the additional "boss" for the bucket rod assbly to attach.

Thanks, I believe that was the problem. I pulled the assembly, not sure what its called, and the filter had some junk on the screen. Cleaned it all up, and the tractor seems to be back to normal. I do know that "cover" assembly (#39 in the schematic) houses a bunch of different things...

The MX5400 is a geared, while the L4330 was a GST. The L48 is an HST, and I've never had issues with it (or the L4330) scooping gravel. Maybe I simply need some more time on the MX, but it definitely feels *different*.

Add in the FEL, and the L4330 is much closer to 5k lbs...plus, it has all the extra weight where it needs it most, out in front of the tractor.

As long as the price is right, looks like the MX5400 may be the perfect tractor for my needs. It will be a transition going from the GST on the L4330 to the standard shift, but not really any difference with the 3910 & 3930 we already have.

I would get a bottle of tri-mix shielding gas, some stainless wire (309, 308, 316), and weld with the MIG. Just be aware stainless is some tough stuff, and can be hell on blades and drill bits.
