Is there any chance or concern with the load going over center and suddenly dumping? Reason for asking is that I had a small flat bed utility trailer that was tilt bed and would slam over center when dumping and then slam down when load came off.

First suggestion is to clean that crud off to keep it out of your system them mark and remove line as required to access the blown one.

Normally pressure would be connected to power beyond if the valve is removed. If the power beyond sleeve was not installed in the loader valve I would hate to guess on how the system was plumbed. What make and model of tractor of tractor is this on?

Not sure where you are located but if in area with colder temps I would check the pump inlet or suction lines to see if any cracks in a hose or loose hose clamp. Cold weather makes oil thicker so any air leak is magnified and would cause pump to be noisy and system to chatter.

If you are pegging the gauge at over 4,000 your relief valve is plumbed incorrectly. The system relief must have the tank connection directly to tank. Sounds like yours is connected to down stream pressure.

You need to install the orifice so they restrict flow out of the cylinders when dumping. On most tractors this is the rod end of the curl/ dump cylinders. The restrictor helps prevent the bucket from free fall dumping.

You need to access the cable ends where they attach to the hydraulic directional valve. At the valve you can remove the cable and then operate the spool manually. If you can’t access the valve then next option is open a fitting and let oil drain out of the lift circuit.

You can manually move the spools in the directional valve that the cables connect to. This would be the neatest method and also allow movement of the tractor on and off the trailer.

If doing mowing, box blade and tilling you will be taking the mid-mount mower on and off often. Depending areas being mowed would a 3 point finish mower be a better option? With 3 point mower opens up your options on tractor since they are not tractor specific.

A Venturi might help but will it aerate the oil to the point that you start cavitating the pump.

I found that blowing them into small windrows with the chute and then backing over the leaves with my Deere X540 mulches them fairly well without covering the discharge. I only have five trees that drop leaves so not excessive amounts. Down side is this puts pretty heavy mulch in some areas.

I had two block heaters fail from poor solder job connection between heating element and cord connection. The elements themselves tested OK Agree on heater sure makes them start easier.

R14 for better traction in dirt, R1 for best traction of all the options.

Lou is correct. You need to perform more tests before determining what is at fault. A simple test is check what component gets hot quickest since loss of flow creates heat. May not be exact but can point you in the general direction of failing component.

Agree 40 horses at less than 2000 lbs is virtually useless for ground engagement work. Might be OK for PTO work if implement isn’t to heavy.

The 728 is fuel injected so could be spark - ignition or fuel. Have you checked to verify spark when warm? Ignition modules and spark plugs have been known to fail when warm but operate correctly when cold.

Some of the deere models where noted for pulling harder than other brands but agree certainly looks you are getting the job done. We had an IH 700 which pulled easier than neighbors deere but I do not remember model of the deere.

Have you checked the drive shaft going from rear transmission to front axle? Possible u-joint is starting to fail.

Puppy I know of no method to verify seal style or size without dismantling the cylinder. Anything I would suggest would just be guess for diameter and there are multiple types of seals that could have been used so without parts diagram apart is the only way I know.

On most cylinders the rod is smaller in diameter than the piston to prevent the rod from coming out of the cylinder barrel. If 50mm rod I would suspect larger cylinder piston bore.
