To me 2,000 pounds sounds like a lot of weight for the FEL on that size tractor but the FEL on my slightly bigger XR4155 is rated to lift 2,700 pounds so hopefully your information is correct.

Got $500 worth of free Ford accessories with the deal so today I bought a Ford roll up Tonneau cover, that took the entire $500 , also bought some other brand floor mat for the box that cost another $200. Might also buy some kind of floor mat for the driver, all this stuff sure adds up quickly !

Yes the body has been made of mostly aluminum since 2015 but the frame is still made with mostly steel.

Around my area they put that stuff on some power poles to prevent damage from bears , they say because of tiny vibration bears think there are bugs in the poles and chew on them even though there are no bugs. Most poles have nothing extra applied .

Kind of surprised I’ve had pretty good luck using Slime in slow leak tires with tubes.

Mine has never shut itself off. My 4155 starts beeping very loud as soon as I get off the seat if the parking brake isn’t locked. However I do on rare occasions forget to take it out of gear. So far I really like those safety features.

Sounds like it might be a safety switch issue, was there some reason you didn’t set the parking brake before you got out of the seat ? Did you set the parking brake before attempting to start the tractor ?

Mine is only two years old with a little over 200 hours, so far it’s been trouble free and I would most likely choose LS if I was buying another new tractor.

You have used the words “stander mower” several times in this thread and I’m not sure what you mean by stander ? At first I thought maybe you were talking about one of those zero turn mowers where there is no seat so you just stand on the backend on a platform to operate it.

Is your tractor equipped with a skid plate to protect all the stuff underneath ? For the type of work you seem to be doing it definitely should have a skid plate

For my use HST is definitely the best option, front loader, rear snowblower, rear 3point hookup blade,rear 5 foot Woods Dixie cutter. Way to many folks buy a tractor that’s simply not big enough for the job.

I remove the blades to sharpen them, once you figure out how to remove them it’s pretty easy, they don’t need to be very sharp.

I highly recommend buying the premixed antifreeze, eliminates any chance of mixing it wrong. The little bit extra it costs really doesn’t matter much unless you have a large fleet of equipment.

Is the PTO on-off lever anything like the one on my Ford 6610 ? On my 6610 it’s very easy to accidentally bump the lever with my foot and unintentionally turn off the PTO.

I’ve always used 1/2 inch drive air impact wrench and a 6 side impact socket never had any trouble getting them off.

Seems like the biggest issues with spokes occur after someone that doesn’t know what they are doing messes with them.

Very Nice job on the conversion ! For me the only time the front exhaust bothers is when I first start the tractor and have to walk in front of it to open the two sliding garage doors. But my tractor is equipped with a factory cab and fortunately don’t suffer with bronchitis.

Where do u live ? Harbor freight often gives 25 foot rulers away for free with purchase around here, they have both metric and inch on them which to me sometimes makes it a little more difficult to measure accurate in some locations .

Yes those videos show some pretty serious failures. My LS is nearly 2 years old with a little over 200 hours on it and I haven’t broken or bent anything but I don’t have a backhoe on it, just a front end loader and some non LS three point hookup stuff. So far I’m very happy that I chose LS.

Extra hydraulic capacity in my opinion is usually a good thing, yes it will consume a little more fuel but when your short of hydraulic capacity it gets pretty expensive to resolve that issue.

Have you checked the oil level in the transmission lately ? My 8n Ford wasn’t shifting properly and when I checked the oil level it was quite low so I added a couple quarts and it’s been working perfectly ever since.

Glad to hear the Deep Creep stuff worked to get it loose. Sounds like rust on the shaft is probably what caused it to get stuck, occasional light coat of grease or oil on the shaft would most likely prevent that from ever happening again.

The curve built into the blade face makes a huge difference, many blade faces have hardly any curve built in so they don’t cut very well.

Never actually operated a Bad Boy mower but have always liked them, they seem to be well designed and easy to work on. Hopefully the Bad Boy tractors are like that, I’ve never seen a Bad Boy tractor in real life.

Maybe you could use paint or something to put a easy to see mark on the tire or rim to indicate where the valve stem is located. I do not recommend over inflating tires.

Well many of them rocks look to be to big to have on the top surface of your driveway. It looks kind of low anyway so If it was mine I’d probably just have it all covered with a nice coat of new gravel.

Probably the main thing that makes tricycle type tractors easier to tip over is they are usually taller than the 4 wheel stance tractors. Either way the knowledge-experience of the operator probably makes the biggest difference.

Did you buy your Kubota L3410 new and have you always had this very serious parking brake issue ? I’m pretty sure if I hooked a bigger tractor to the front of my LS I could drag the LS around the yard and the rear wheels would just slide and never turn as long as the parking brake was locked up...

My LS is also HST, your definitely supposed to put the transmission in neutral before getting off the seat, mine has a very annoying beeper that goes off if you attempt to get out of the seat with the engine running and in gear. I actually like having that feature, it’s a good promote safety thing.

There definitely must be something wrong somewhere, those wheels should absolutely not be able to creep once the brakes are properly locked. Hopefully a Kubota owner will be able to tell you whats wrong.

I suspect u might not be operating the parking brake properly. I had pretty much the same issue when I first got my LS XR 4155. I mistakenly thought all I had to do was pull the parking brake lever to lock it but that’s not how it’s designed to work, the brakes only held a little like that u...

The roads are definitely not easy to ride, several times I thought I was going down but luckily never did. Lots of folks aren’t so lucky. Quite a few folks crash up there and wind up flying home. Experience helps but plenty of very experienced riders have crashed up there.

I have nice John Deere 6 foot blade on 55 horse tractor , it works fine but I often wish it was 7 foot so it wood plow a little wider. When I use the 6 foot blade on my 8N Ford I’m glad it’s not wider.

The LocknLube tips are very nice when they fit but there are way way to many places where they simply don’t fit. As far as batteries it’s crazy that every manufacturer makes the batteries mount different.

On my tractor the three point lever and the draft control lever are right next to each other so sometimes I mistakenly grab the wrong lever and just like in your case the three point doesn’t move.

I am also a XR 4155 owner but with only 200 hours, so far no trouble but thanks everyone for posting about the issue so if it happens to mine someday I might have a clue how to hopefully fix it.

Sounds like your doing pretty well ! since you already changed the filter and cleaned the screen I recommend just putting it all back together filling it with oil and it should all work like new again.

Yes you will need to use the lever inside the cab to adjust the top link. But if your tractor is also equipped with a lever outside the cab for raising-lowering the two lower three point arms you can also use that lever carefully to help get the proper distance to be able to hook the top link...

I use a hydraulic top link with all my 3point hookup stuff and love it, makes top link adjustments quick and easy anytime. My LS tractor came from the factory equipped with three rear remotes, that was one of the big reasons I chose LS.

Maybe you miss read the specs ? I believe my XR 4155 is only rated to lift about 1,700 or 1,800 pounds and it’s very similar in size to the MT357

Expensive but I love the No Spill gas cans, I actually own 3 of them and might buy one more someday.

Those sliding collars are definitely more difficult for me to use, I highly prefer the push pin type.

I actually like the parking brake warning beeper, the only time it ever goes off is on the rare occasion I forget to release the brake so I’m glad it notifies me so I don’t wear it out .

How are the mechanics at your dealer ? I think you should show them this thread because the answer to your regen issues is probably there. If they still don’t manage to fix it try finding a Dealer with better skilled mechanics.
