Is the parking brake set ? Are you sitting on the seat when attempting to start ? You might want to try disconnecting the battery ground for a few minutes then reconnect it, sometimes if there’s a poor connection somewhere in the system that will get it to start working again.

Just a few things I would check Is the power take off turned off ? Is the shift lever in neutral ? Is the parking brake set ?

I would say nuts on top and since the Urethane edge is mainly going to be used for snow removal the nuts most likely will not show noticeable wear very soon unless you will be removing extreme amounts of snow.

My LS dealer made a skid plate for my LS XR4155 , it helps but it ain’t nothing to brag about. Basically just a flat piece of steel bolted to the loader frame. He has had to do some pretty expensive repairs because of customers driving over stuff they shouldn’t be driving over.

I use the level indicator a lot, for me it helps a lot when using the bucket. I haven’t used the forks very much and the level indicator doesn’t seem to help much with the forks.

I don’t start or shut off my LS at the recommended 1,000 rpm’s , just seems a little to rough running that slow, I use 1,200 rpm’s instead it just seems much smoother and i doubt it makes much if any real difference.

Put Armor skids on my 72inch Meteor blower, they are nicely made but not really much help if the ground isn’t well frozen. The past couple years the ground usually hasn’t been very well frozen so I been mostly using a pretty heavy duty 9 foot rear 3 point blade to plow my yard and driveway.

Today I used LS 4155 to load a few dump trailer loads of dirt to haul onto some rough spots on some woods roads, everything turned out pretty well, the LS tractor went through the regeneration process it’s been 40 hours since the last regeneration.

My Moms six years and five months old Rheem hot water heater quit working so I went over there to check it out, huge puddle of water on basement concrete floor , the warranty is only six years so she had to pay to get a new heater installed.

The newer Rheem hot water heaters don’t have a handle on the faucet to open the drain, they have a slot for using a flat blade screwdriver to open and close it.

12 volt Walmart battery in my 8N Ford tractor lasted an unbelievable 18 years ! Naturally when it failed I replaced it with another Walmart battery, that was about 5 years ago.

I have removed FEL a few times and once you figure out exactly how to remove or reinstall it it’s pretty easy and makes some maintenance jobs much easier. But 99.9 percent of the time the FEL is mounted .

My Bison rear blade weighs 1,400 pounds without the hydraulic cylinders. If the ground is dry it works excellent for leveling, a few days ago I leveled some ruts in the bottom of one of my field ditches and it turned out beautiful ! I really should have taken some pictures.

I rarely have trouble connecting hydraulic hoses but mine are the old fashioned style not the newer flat face style.

Some people actually prefer turf tires because they tear up the turf a little less

On my LS if the PTO is in the on position and the tractor is in gear it will turn the engine off when you get off the seat even when the parking brake is set, it’s a safety feature that I discovered when I accidentally turned on the PTO with nothing attached.

I had a Walmart battery last an unbelievable 18 years in my Ford 8N, when it finally failed I replaced it with another Walmart battery and so far it’s also working fine.

Sure sounds like bad battery , I think NAPA should replace one or both of them under warranty. I also recommend buying a charger equipped with a desulfurization mode and hook it up to every battery you own a couple times per year

Oh sure it’s broke in at 100,000 miles but usually many many more trouble free miles left. Lots of folks wouldn’t even consider buying a motorcycle with 100,000 miles on it, I probably wouldn’t ether because there are plenty of low miles ones available reasonably priced.

The small stuff mostly gets turned into mulch with lawn mower. The bigger stuff I pick up manually and put it on brush pile, it’s kind of an annoying job, thankfully I don’t have anywhere near as much to pickup as you do.

They ain’t forcing anything, even Honda has been surprised by how many folks choose the 7 speed DCT over the manual 6 speed transmission . I have taken test rides on both and highly prefer the DCT. The 2002 Goldwing I bought brandnew currently shows 613,000 miles on odometer.

I’ve seen plenty of rims ruined by rust even without any kind of fluid installed in the tire.

I believe the rough terrain and mud you mentioned pretty much rules out a zero turn mower for you. Probably better off looking for a nice used tractor type mower until your lawn gets repaired.

Mine probably wouldn’t hit but I pull the pin and slide the drawbar forward so there’s nothing to worry about, takes about 10 seconds to do on my tractor.
