I would say a 35-40hp tractor Kubota or LS (or Kioti if there is a dealership nearby). I'm not crazy about Mahindras. A rear blade WITH a tail wheel or a land plane.

Two approaches

Talk to a shop that does diesel truck repair. They could give you leads of people that could do that for you - contractors, landscapers, truckers, etc. Lots of folks around with a 5th wheel trailer.

Your starting point sounds pretty solid. Start looking at Tractorhouse, Craigslist, and online auctions. It takes a lot of looking.

I'm not sure you even need t use AI. Just say "I wonder which new Compact Tractor I should buy" in your home or in your car, and you will start receiving popup ads. Something is always listening!

Kubota is too stubborn to get rid of the treadle. It would be interesting if they did a test market somewhere with either treadle or conventional available and see which consumers prefer. If treadles were all that, other manufacturers would follow suit.

The reason that tail wheel has a long shank (and lots of spacers) is that the rear mounting bracket is rigid. Newer rough cut mowers have a height adjustable mounting bracket.

You can get plenty of trails on 40 acres if you meander. This is a map of the trails on our 80 acres of hunting land. You could double that if you wanted to. Half the fun for you will be laying out routes.

That's an odd set up. What is the diameter of the shank? Whatever you buy, you will probably have to weld an extension on to it (standard shanks are 5"-6"long and generally 1 1/4" in diameter).

If the 2511t is on sale for $160 less than the TN model that's a bargain. Usually the TN model is only $10 more. I have the TN Nano chain model, and it cuts faster and with less chatter than the stock chain. You could buy the stock version and get teh Nano kit later if you wanted to.

I think you should go with as large a tractor as you can within your weight limits. That said, the Kubota LX 3520 LX special edition might be a consideration on the lower end, and an MX 5400 on the higher end. The Kioti DK4720SEH would be a leading contender for me

A front mount blower is worthy of consideration. The benefit of a rear pull snowblower is that you still have use of your loader.

I think he has enough hp. My 40hp New Holland handles my 68" MK Martin rear pull just fine. I have R1 tires and no chains.

I was just out mowing a trail I made last year. It's still a little rough, but coming along. As I was mowing, I was thinking it was a lot thicker and a pain in the a** making it, than it appears now. It took a lot more effort than one would think now that it's been tamed.

It happens too often. Someone asks for help and gets lots of responses, but never lets us know what worked. That's not helpful for the next person with the same problem.
