Most I have seen will say NEW or OLD Kubota on the can. But yes, the OLD is more of a safety orange. Good luck with your project. The worst part is cleaning everything to get it ready for paint, LOL

The one thing I am religious about though is I always leave my tanks full. If I use a tractor or the RTV I fill the tank before I park for the night.

I'm lucky here in northern Ontario. We have really good fuel quality. I buy from Petro Canada, and Shell and have never ever had a fuel or gasoline issue. The fuels are treated right at the tank farms.

Sadly I've seen this for years spec'ing and ordering new class 8 trucks. Salesman that have NO clue how to spec a truck for a specific application, and not even any idea what is actually available from the factory.

If you can find New Kubota orange it matches my CA pretty good. But if you look at the center dishes in my rear rims, that is OLD Kubota orange and it looks terrible, LOL The rims are actual AC Persian Orange.

I'm a fan of propane power. A propane engine stays so clean inside compared to running on gas. That's another reason they live forever. I used to love my propane powered pickup trucks.

It's a feature you would use all the time for loader work. And for PTO work you use the hand throttle just as it was designed for. So I still don't see your complaint? You can still drive the tractor at all speeds with the hand throttle bumped up to whatever RPM you want.

I believe the manual steering does have oil in them. I seem to remember seeing the procedure to check and fill oil in my manuals. But I am not home right now so I can't show you yet. If you need an answer right away go on Yesterday's tractor forum in the Ford section.

I like it, but two things keep me from buying it. 1. DPF and regens 2. The cab model is the same price in Canada as what I could have bought a cab Grand L for 2 years ago. And I don't like that feeling of knowing I'm being ripped off, so they can sell them to someone else. LOL

So what's wrong with that?? If you don't want the auto throttle, you just pull the throttle lever just like every other tractor and run it at whatever RPM you want. I don't see any problems with that. Other than running it at low RPM where it is quiet and economical is going to make it regen more.

My other problem with these ridiculous setups like this are....when you go to put the new filter back on, the idea is to do it WITHOUT getting dirt or contaminants in it. How are you supposed to do that when you have to wrestle them back into these spots in all kinds of weird positions.

I once needed a muffler for a Craftsman lawn tractor back in early 2000's and they wanted $400 for it back then. So my small engine mechanic made a new metal box, welded the head pipes to it, filled it with steel wool and it worked great and was quiet.

Yes, I've done that also. I just tried to get one quick. Was right between tractor shows and I had taken the inspection cover off the Simms pump to inspect and clean the vent and then had a slight drip overnight after that. So had to redo it again. It's like a square rubber gasket.

Mostly China on EVERYTHING you buy. Even out Cat equipment at the mine....you look all over it and all kinds of parts and all hydraulic fittings have "made in China" stamped on them.

Just check where the valve stem is in the rear rims and make sure they are not starting to rot. The rear rims are about the most expensive pieces you would ever have to replace on those tractors.

I have 2 acres of finished lawn around my house. For years I used an MTD 824 Classic and 2 newer Craftsman lawn tractors to mow. For the same gallons of gas those 3 used to mow my lawn once, my Kubota B2620 diesel mows it 13 times.

Yes, you have a point. But if it's ballasted good on the rear and you just need to use some technique running the loader. Best way i can say it is 4WD lets you be a bad operator and get away with it, LOL 2WD you just need a little more finesse.

That's what I always used to use on my dirt bikes. Maxima Chain Wax. But then I watched some you tube tests like the one Fort Nine did testing chain lubes and I fell on the side of no lube at all on o-ring chains. They last longer with no dirt stuck to them.

I put a radio in my Kubota but I rarely turn it on. Those factory speakers are so tinny, it sounds like crap. It's okay to listen to Rural Radio on Sirius though. Just music sucks with no bass.

There's why you and I have never had a problem in all these years.....we both have a brand new spare chain on the shelf. LOL

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just put it on and lube it. My blower has the exposed chain, I bought it new in 2013. It is used almost daily with the snow we get here in the winter and I have never had to adjust or replace yet. All I have ever done is spray it with motorcycle chain lube...

Possibly the bolts came loose in the bell housing to cause that. I had a couple old 8V71 Detroits with 13 speed Road Rangers and the bell housing bolts always came loose. That would break that bellhousing.

Either that or how about putting a thin layer of Permatex Ultra Blue RTV gasket maker on it?? The cover only has to come off to clean the vent filter, which I have never seen it dirty or gummed up. The oil has it's own drain, check and fill plugs.

So my Ford 3000 has a Simms inline injection pump. They have their own oil reservoir. Every time I replace the oil and remove the side cover that has the breather filter in it, I have to keep fiddling with it to get it to quit having a drip of oil always coming out of it. After I gave her some new engine oil and Motorcraft filter. And flushed the cooling system. The stuff I drained looks green but it didn't test much better than water. And changed the oil in the injection pump again.

Yes sir. I wish Agco would have kept that name or Allis Chalmers on orange tractors instead of pushing Fendt here. There were a lot of Massey's and AGCO's in this area because we have Skinners in Pickford Michigan that sold both, and we used to have Vivian's MF on this side of the border.
