Medium duty 5 ft bush hog?

Wife was nagging me today, when she saw one of the used ones I was gonna go look at. "Just buy a new one, the last thing you need is another project to piddle on"

Dont know thats what im going to do yet, going to atleast see what's at the two auctions next week. Id a whole lot rather spend $750 or $1000 on a good quality used, then a new, light duty.

I think of it this way, I Can get a new medium/heavy standard duty, and thats it; Or, I can get a new Honda outboard for the job boat, and a Used bush hog.

Don't pass up the wife's approval to buy a new one, lol.

If you plan to keep and use it long term just buy a new one and don't skimp on it. I use mine about 2-3 times a year around the family's farm. Not sure about acreage as its a mix of clearings and trails but it's about a six hour job with the 5' hog. I have a Titan which is now IronCraft. It has taken some abuse and is holding up really well. In the whole scheme of things a 5'-6' medium duty brush hog is not that expensive. Having dependable equipment is priceless vs breakdowns in the middle of a job.
