good morning all.
cool morning and a lovely Fall day in the mid 70's.
been sitting here thinking about what to get into today, really need to start clearing out
part of the veggie garden, looking kinda sad. Need to pick the last icebox watermelon and get rid of the jungle
of mildewed vines. It was a year of mildew and leaf blight, at least for my tomatoes.

picked two nice full size green peppers yesterday, rarely do they get full size but I hadn't checked on these in a while.
but nothing of mine ever compares to the gigantic peppers in the supermarket.
except in taste

RS's green beans looked perfect, like a commercial. He is going to have a wonderful batch of veggies put away.

one thing I'm going to try today if it arrives early enough is a new blade sharpener I ordered from Amazon.
I looked up the top rated knife sharpening stone and the same company also makes a hand file.
Looks like it might work well on several things I own, including my small mower blade that has a big curve in it
that is hard to sharpen on my bench grinder. Don't know how it will fit into other small tools like pruners and clippers.
But going to find out. When you look around and wonder what else can I sharpen?

Precious is in mode of barking at everything

Prayers for all our Country
Sassy does not bark very often. Yesterday evening I did not pay attention to her grunts when she wanted me to pick her up into the bed. I think her bark scared her more than me. She got what she wanted. Lifted her up and put her at right end of bed. When I wake up in the morning she is always as close as she can get to my body. But never next to my face.

Tuesday just short of 9AM
Fall is approaching fast.
We broke the over night 45F floor.
Further from the lakes frost has kissed a few places.
Beauty days with blue skies and sunshine. Hovering around 70F.
I wait all year for this. I'm not going to waste it working.
Procrastination still winning out over winter prep.
Going to Hamilton to a really good deli shortly.
Have to get some of their double smoked ready to eat bacon.
Makes for the best BLT while local field tomatoes are still good.
They have excellent large onion buns for the Dagwood sammie construction.
Skipping brekkie to make room.
Then a nice nap.
Tomorrow going to take Petunia out for a run.

....
Just cleaned up pool a bit after work.

....
A lot of leaves coming down from the drought. Makes cleaning the pool an hourly job depending on which way the wind blows.

Thinking about closing early, but we enjoy looking at the blue water.

Only been in it a handful of times this year. Hoping next year will be more splash time.

Good Morning
47° to start the day, already 60 on its way to 70 under a clear sky.
Yesterday’s visit to the RC club was a nice time a bit windy, but every one left with their planes in the same condition that they brought them in.
Met some friends for lunch afterwards, then went and picked up some material for the bender tooling, and a remote keypad for the old folks home garage door.

When I got home, I hopped on the Lazer to do all the trimming before hooking up the Progressive mower to do the open area. Grandson came up after school to help. Must have been a tough day at school.

It still amazes me how much grass accumulates on the rear deck. It’s no wonder that the top of it was rotted when I bought the mower. I replaced the top with stainless steel and blow it off clean after every use. Hopefully that will extend its life past mine.

Another night with a brilliant moon. It was really quite orange, but when I decreased the exposure to get some surface detail, the color went away.

After my bowl of cereal, I’ll install the key pad, and get to work on the tooling. Be interesting to see what else pops up.

Are you going the 'back way' or the big street?

Good morning! Low of 57°, high expected of 82°, sunny. Next week highs are in the 70's -- WOOHOO!
And an increased chance of showers by Friday. Still way behind in the precipitation totals. When you only get 10" per year, every bit counts.

Successful day troubleshooting the trailer lights. Definitely not the trailer side. Took the truck plug apart --- all good, not a single spot of corrosion.
But, still no power to the pins for the signals.....

OK, KISS principle applied......
Check turn signal fuses... they are good.
Why don't I look in the manual to see if there is anything about trailer lights....
YEP.... low and behold --- there are SEPARATE fuses for the trailer circuit... wow, just wow, never saw that before.
And guess what? Both fuses blown. Replaced and everything works as it should. Easy fix!

The replacement emergency braking system arrived, so that will get installed today and trailer rehab will be done.
Still have to wack those weeds, so depending upon how long the install takes....and how long motivation sticks around....

When these two tasks are finished, then I can get back on the garage build. I want to enjoy building the giant erector set.

Hope everyone has a great day!

what a wonderful pic of your grandson Popgadget.
He was just where he wanted to be.

warmed up a bit, grass was wet with dew earlier, want to weedeat a little but that's a mess
with wet grass

put the dishwasher on, went outside for awhile, came back in to smell of burning wires.
not good. moved dial on dishwasher and turned off warmer. No more smell and it continued just fine.
nothing had fallen down on element, my concern is internal.
next time I run the dishwasher will make sure I stay inside and watch it.

Ted, nice work, glad you got it fixed
