I've got an Echo PAS 266 powerhead and amongst other accessories a paddle I use to put my driveway back after winter plowing. My new neighbors asked to borrow it when they saw me using it the first year they were here. my reply..."Nope, it's over $1K to replace that setup now" and I said it very politely. They never took offense at all and we're still good friends. That's the kind of people you want for neighbours, people you can talk to and say exactly what you're thinking.

Our son and his wife both have cancer, he told me they were getting behind on their medical bills and he was putting them on a credit card thinking he could keep up with it but he couldn’t, we gave him $26,000 to pay the credit card told him he could have it, but he paid us back in about 2 years.
We reminded him he didn’t have to pass back at all if he didn’t want to, but he said he couldn’t live with himself owe us money and wanted to pay us back, so maybe I raised one of my kids the right way
Sometimes things can be done quicker, but I’m guessing there’s a reason for it to take time, they are redoing a road by us that I’m guessing wasn’t the correct soil because they dug about 8 feet down and I’ve been adding new soil and packing it constantly to build it right back up to where it was, but I’m guessing the road will last longer

Gun buybacks. I know other people find this annoying, too. You can't buy something back if you never owned it.
Another one: people who say "times more." If something costs three times as much as something else, they say "three times more." No, three times more would be four times as much.
How about this: chewing gum stuck under restaurant tables. Males are almost never to blame for this. We're always told women are cleaner than men, but the tables tell a different story.

Journalists who say "moderate Republicans." No one ever says "moderate Democrats."
It's annoying how journalists try to make the right look bad. After the USSR fell, I saw some idiot on network TV refer to hard-line communist holdouts as right-wingers.
Here's one: the Haagen-Dazs 14-ounce "pint." Someone should be in prison for that.
How about shrinking one-pound food packages? Your recipe calls for a pound of frozen peas, but suddenly, your package contains 12 ounces. Buy two or shrink the whole recipe?
Professional cooks who tell everyone to use kosher salt in everything. Salt is salt. It's exactly the same chemical regardless of the name. Kosher salt has some legitimate uses, but there is no point in putting it in soup or cookies.
Cooks who tell people to use non-iodized salt. You can't tell the difference. No, you really can't.
Resting steaks. An enormous mistake and a myth that won't die. Steak should be as hot as possible on the outside. Get it to the table fast, like real steakhouses do. People claim juice "redistributes itself" in the steak. No, it doesn't. There is no little system of pipes in there to let the juice move from place to place. The reason a cold steak releases less juice is that beef fat gets more viscous as it cools, so it doesn't flow as well. Also, none of the juice that comes out (a tiny amount) is "lost." It's right there on your plate.
A non-rested steak is better. Do what I did. Try two steaks side-by-side and compare. People who claim resting is important have never done this. They just parrot what other people say.
Grill marks on meat. Just silly. You want the whole piece of meat browned. That's where all the flavor is.
Biden cereal. This is cereal that comes in a box that is very wide and tall and about an inch thick. You have to use a fork to pull it out of the box. Inflation is bad. We get it. Don't try to make us think an inch-thick box is just like the old ones that were 2.5 inches thick. Make a smaller box already.
People who invite guests for meals and then put all sorts of "lite" junk in the food. Or margarine. Come on. Food for guests is supposed to taste good.
Fried turkeys. No, no, no. If you think they're better than roasted, or even as good, it just means you don't know how to roast a turkey. A fried turkey is like a crusty superball that burns your house down.
Air-frying. There is no such thing. It's just convection cooking. Air-fried food is nothing at all like the real thing. I have two air fryers, and they are hopeless.
Electronics that turn themselves off. If I want to turn the TV off, I'll do it myself.

You will not get anything with lactose in my house, I try to buy lactose free milk/butter/cheese Which in most cases people can't tell the difference. (good aged cheese like cheddar and swiss is lactose free)
Having allergies and intolerance is a pain in the ass.
I can bring stuff to other peoples house, but have to bring my own separate food to eat there.
Some people get upset I can't eat what they cook even though they tell me how careful they were.
1) I have gotten really sick from doing this.
2) I'd rather they not make a fuss, why stress out, cook like how you cook, I just know I can't eat it. I don't feel left out.
We have had people stop inviting us since I would not eat their food, just silly.
I'm not taking an ambulance ride to make them happy. And I don't care if everyone around me is eating stuff I can't.
Except Pizza, everyone gets their hands on that and touches everything, I have to be careful of that.

All these stories about neighbors borrowing tractors. I guess where I live might be unique, but I couldn't even imagine any neighbor having the audacity to ask to borrow my tractor. The closest thing I could ever expect to that would be a neighbor mentioning to me that they were renting one or hiring out a job, on the off-chance I might offer to do the chore for them on mine. But at least around here, things are offered, not expected.

I get several calls a day asking questions if legitimate and not phishing, what happens if ignored, why are you doing this to me, etc.
I say I don’t like them either and only complete if you want to.
Those in there 30’s and younger like it for the most part… being able to complete at one’s leisure.
Almost 100% negative from older patients… some say a grandchild helped them.
Currently the 3 options are online, phone interview but hardly anyone answers the phone these days and day of surgery with the nurse asking the questions.

My nieces all used my trailer for homecoming in High School to make class floats…
Glad to do it but youngest graduates university next year and the high school kept asking but I had to say it’s not here but on the farm which is true… I was asked to get it and other times it came back less than stellar…
