People that have trailers usually don’t rent U-Haul trailers, though unless you want a one-way trailer to take across a couple states and not bring it back
All but one of my trailers is open and I had to rent for work to move medical equipment…

I ended up using my trailer and truck for the 211 mile round trip but would have preferred to rent since it was for my employer…

I did get mileage for the truck but not for the trailer…

Had an appointment with my GP doctor yesterday, so last week I get a text from someone who sends documents to be filled out prior to your appointment. I HATE THOSE DAMN THINGS. But I tried to fill it out and finally got so frustrated, wasted half an hour trying to get it to accept all my answers, cancelled it and deleted the message.
When it got to the doc's office I had to fill out a couple of pages, which took me all of 30 seconds.

Yep, those apps sure do make things easy and speed things up.

Oh, one of the fields said, Language, if not English, so I left it blank. Nope, had to type in English to get past that page. Whoever coded that page needs a good swift kick in the behind.

Having to visit the Doc's office monthly, I get aggrivated in having to fill out the same 3-page info form each time. I'm not sure if it's just a test on my integrity or a test of my writing skills.
I solved that aggrivation by bringing a blank one home, filling it out, sans putting in the date, and photocopying a batch. Now I simply take a copy with me to the Doc's office. When they hand me the clipboard to fill out that 20 minute questionaire, I hand them back a completed photocopy form.
That has worked out SO WELL... I'm wondering if that system will work if I simpy photocopy a batch of $20 bills to cover their charges? hmmmm - I' not sure i shoud try that out :)

A good friend generously donated use of his trailer, many times, to help a local non-profit. But he grew tired of that.

He politely notified the non-profit his trailer would not be available any more. They responded: "Boy, that's going to put us in a real bind."

Not quite the "thank you" he was expecting ...

The info you have to pre-fill out is for all your data they sell to the marketing companies. If you notice, none of that data you pre-filled out ever shows up on the doctors computer when you finally get to see them. They ask you the same questions over again like none of that data you entered on the forms or tablet ever existed on their database..... Remember the fad of the big, bulky yellow or orange tablets that you had to use in the Dr. waiting rooms? Those were owned by marketing companies. My cardiologist used to try and make you use them, I always refused and then they would hand me a printed sheet of paper that said you opted out of their data collection and sign your name on the line at the bottom of the paper with a pen...........:cautious:

Had the same thing happen with one of my neighbors. They used to borrow one of my tractors. It either came back broke with no knowledge of how it got broke and they never repaired anything, or I had to go get it, because it had been sitting in their yard for 2 weeks, run out of diesel fuel. I finally cut them off from using it and they had the audacity to complain that I was forcing them to go rent a tractor......

You could have offered to save them the cost of renting a tractor, with charging them an exorbitant amount to use yours. Then, they find a deal on renting another tractor and it saves you both money.

Made it perfectly clear to my neighbors, I will NOT loan out my tractor, none of them have one. I will come over and move dirt/rock, till a garden, drill a hole etc. on my time for a few beers.

I knew a guy with a landscaping business.
I let him dump soil, grass clippings, brush timings...
Took me time and fuel to spread this stuff out or burn.
Not to mention the garbage that invariably was often mixed in.
Stuff like wrappers, coffee cups etc.
One day a couple of his workers came through at speed after a heavy rain, cutting deep ruts and splashed my soon to be picked apples with mud.
I blocked that driveway to stop them and have a word.
He called and asked if that was meant for them. When I said yes he hung up and never spoke to me again.
Didn't want to hear why.
I wasn't cutting him off I just wanted to have a word about the mess.
Since then I hear he calls me that a-shole and worse.
This after saving him a small fortune in dumping fees and extra time it takes his guys to go to the dump.
I thought I was doing a good deed helping a guy with a new business.
I just feel duped. Never again.
