2012 5065E fuel pump question

I’ve not had the issue with my Deere’s but I believe theirs a fine screen/ filter in your tank that your fuel supply line hooks to. I don’t think it’s to much of a job to extract it from the outside and clean or replace it.

Thanks. I'll look for it.

It seems odd to me that there isn't another filter or screen of some kind before or after the main fuel filter.

Some have that strainer and some do not. Here is schematic of one that does not.

On the earlier tractors for sure there is a strainer in the tank outlet. Some are part of the fitting, some are totally separate depending on age, serial numbers ETC. Its not hard to remove, just a "drain the tank" project.

That looks like it. I haven't messed with it yet; I just looked for it last night when I got home and saw it. I'm not sure how it works, it's very odd looking.
