Good grief. When is the last time that thing was run and moved? You better get a BFH when you split that thing.

Hey All,
Well I did get a look inside, It doesn't look good:eek:, Apparently last summer when we had a big rain in Aug at that property, it must have gotten water into the clutch housing , because it is just rusted terribly,So I guess it needs to be split,I'll put a few pictures up,
I'm Sorry to have wasted y'all's time, with this issue, I might need some insight into the splitting job, but it seems straight forward, That is not happening till after the summer ,All the suggestions were Great, Thanks,
On a Good Note,
SPL your suggestion about be able to move it it L/L worked out Great ,I am able to move it at low idle without Grinding gears, Fantastic . will make it easier to move onto a trailer so I can get it to where I will do the work in a couple of months, Hopefully I will be able to clean it up when I split it,
If anyone that has done the "split" has any thoughts on avoiding any Pittfalls that I may encounter, that would be Great,
Thanks,
Mike M.
Sad situation. That is like flood damage.

Good pics of the t/o. I was able to make a tool to regrease the t/o in our L3450 through that breather port. It was dry and you could hear it spin.

Glad you are able to move the tractor. -- Not that it will rejuvenate it, but notice that you can spray the t/o lavishly w/o danger of contaminating the clutch itself. The clutch is a couple inches forward of the t/o and any spinoff is going to be strictly radial tangent -- no axial. Also, look for a drain/vented bolt drain in the bottom of that bell housing. It may be stopped up. It will at least prevent a further worsening situation if you can introduce some appropriate juice repeatedly and be assured that runoff will drip out, not puddle in the bottom.

I Will give the spray thing a try , I don't think I will risk much trying that, most of those parts will need a week in the Evaporust tank :ROFLMAO:
When I get around to the splitting job I will Post some pictures and give an update on how its going,
Have a bunch of irons in the fire right now, but at least I now know what I'll be up against
Thanks,
Mike M. (y)🇺🇲

Best of luck. Keep us apprised of your progress.
It looks like pictures of some sort of linkage from the Titanic.
