Kubota L2250DT
Hey All,
New to the site, Just wondering if anyone has some insight or strategies on accessing the frozen throughtbearing on my l2250dt, its been sitting for a few months(probably from a lot of moisture here in Ct.) and when I step on the clutch I get no movement on the shaft connected to the pedal,
Just figure I'd see if anyone has an idea on how to get it moving without splitting the tractor ,
Any thoughts would be appreciated ,
Thanks,
Mike M.

Theres no acess cover? If so spray it penetrating oil and try to free it up.

Spray your oil on the OUTSIDE of the shaft where it enters the housing. Probably a good thing you didn't find an access plate. Spraying oil any where near the clutch disk will total it--Tractor spit time.

I cannot decipher your post. Does the clutch pedal move normally? What doesnt? Does the linkage move?

No The pedal does not move normally , the shaft does not turn when depressing the pedal, I have already spray plenty of penetrating oil on the shaft where it enters the case,I do not think it is bound up on the shaft, but I think it is the bearing frozen on the shaft in my opinion from the moisture and sitting unused for a long period of time (my fault ) just figured I would see if anyone had a "Magic Solution" before the inevitable Splitting of the tractor, I do have the shop and parts Manuel for the tractor, just wondering if anyone knows if there is an access panel that I am missing, I'm getting old and sometimes you cannot see the forest through the trees, :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Thanks for the replies , and thoughts

From memory, I think that shaft only acts as a pivot for the clutch pedal and the righthand split brake pedal. The shaft is only rotated by the left split brake pedal. Linkage handles getting the pedal motions to their respective places. I think you have a stuck clutch - much better news than a stuck throwout bearing. It; pedal, linkage, and input shaft to the throwout are probably ok. --You push pedal and the throwout relieves pressure on the clutch plate. But the clutchplate is stuck to the flywheel so [[[you get grinding when try to put into gear -- or the tractor moves if you try to start in gear]]].

Is this the case? Confirm and well talk strategies to free the clutch.

If the clutch disc is stuck the throw out bearing should still release and get movement. Do you have an inspection plate on the right side of the bellhousing where you can adjust the two stage clutch?
Did it work correctly when you last parked it? Clutch release and apply appropriately? A seized bearing has the potential to lock and then force the bearing to spin where it should not on the transmission input shaft housing.
Do you have any freeplay in the clutch?
I am not saying you do, but many people operate with their left foot on the clutch pedal constantly applying pressure. This will lead to the bearing suffering premature failure.
Hope you do not have to split the tractor but I have done mine a couple times with 6500 hours of hard use on it. It can be done...

Yes, It did work properly when last used,I do not Ride the Clutch,Due to the fact I would be the one that would be fixing it, it is not possible to to put in gear while running (due to gear grinding ) clutch is fully engaged ,at this point, there is No free play in the clutch pedal ,(actuating rod that enters the case, does not turn when pedal is pressed, and the rod does Not appear to be frozen, its seems to be internal to me) it has an aftermarket Front end loader on it, Which is attached to the tranny/bellhousing case , machine is located at another property we have ,I will try to get over there and get some pictures of the area in question ,
appreciate the comments and the willingness to try to help
Thanks

See if you can back off the clutch adjustment to create free play in the clutch linkage assembly. It might be a process of elimination to get to the source of the issue.
Before I split a tractor, I would eliminate every other possibility.
