Was looking at houses last week with one of our kids. Found many that are under $150K.

It's not that different, at least in this area, as it was 40 years ago.

Kind of the same here.

I bought my first house in 1982 at $200000. It was 2500 sq ft.

My son just purchased his first house at $250000. It’s 2500 sq ft.

Then, on the other hand, a friend of mine just purchased a new car - Bentley - for $325000!

The difference between an investment banker and an accountant!!!

Different areas increase in price differently.
Bought the house I'm in in Va. in 1984 for $115K, now assessed at ~$700K.
And look at California - Ultrarunner has lot's of examples.

For my last house the peoples realtors had a picture from the front that showed the tree and a small bit of house in the background.
When we sold that house, I made sure we saw every picture going up on the site, and provided my very own picture from the street, without the tree blocking the house.

I've heard property photos are squeaky clean compared to what single people do to post "their" picture on a dating site .
I could tell you some stories, but don't want to hijack the thread. ;)
