    Backhoe vs Tractor with backhoe

I second those who have brought up the L47 (or even M62) for the most part, but understand a couple of drawbacks: Those machines will not have removable FELs, and factory cabs are not options as far as I know. In your shoes I'd be tempted to get something like a Yanmar YT349C with a backhoe...

1.5 acres. Am I nuts for thinking about a tractor?

1000% This answer. Interestingly enough, I was in a very similar situation as Kennebec_guy, had 1.6 acres in need of a lot of landscaping and maintenance, and felt like I needed a tractor but thought maybe I was also crazy for thinking that. My wife thought I was crazy when I brought it up...

    SA223 & SA424 Backhoe Mount Compatability

I own an SA424 and noticed the literature on the 223 mentions the same backhoe (Yanmar B65). Does anyone know if the mount is the same on these two machines? I was somewhat surprised to see that the smaller SA223 had the same backhoe, but not sure if a single backhoe is swappable between them.

    SA324 Backhoe Attachment

That's really messed up. Your tractor definitely shouldn't feel or be unsafe to drive. As for the BH65 name, I agree it's probably based on the depth. Yanmar carried it over from Woods Equipment's model number. The BH on my SA424 is this one from Woods. It should be the same one that goes...

How Do I Void My Yanmar Warranty?

Why would I want to do this? Precisely, I don't! I'm thinking of installing a 3rd function bypass valve on my FEL, and my wife said to me the other day, "Hey couldn't that void your warranty if you do it yourself?" She's seen me pretty much void the warranty on everything I own by cracking...

    What could Yanmar improve?

Okay Yanmar, forget everything else I've mentioned in my previous post. Just fix the location of this grease zerk on the 424 steering linkage. Sheesh. Points straight to the inside of the rim regardless of your steering direction, making it a REAL pain to seat your gun (poorly), even the bendy...

Show off your Yanmars! (Picture Thread)

We actually got over 12" of snow in my corner of North Carolina last week! I never considered a snowblade until now. I did have fun clearing my drive, and the neighbor's, and pulling someone's car out of a snowbank. If you're not from NC, let me tell you - any amount of snow causes sheer...

    Hearing protection

Hearing protection? How about whole head protection! I own a Yanmar 424 open station tractor and do a lot of work in the woods or around trees. I learned rather by chance just how useful a hardhat like this is: Not only do I have hearing protection with easy off-and-on convenience, the hat...

Pallet Forks for 424 - Who makes them?

Actually these are 45 inches wide with 42" tines. I double checked the measurements with my tape and they match the drawing from the fabricator's website, attached below. These are actually "compact tractor" forks. I agree about the colors, I think the 424 looks awesome [emoji2].

Pallet Forks for 424 - Who makes them?

Well I finally got the forks, the shop fixed the mount at no extra charge. It seems that their Yanmar mount was somewhat outdated, hence the poor initial fit. That's what they said anyway. I pulled my mount off the FEL and let them borrow it for the fix. Should have done that the first time...

    Screening to Protect Hydros

Been spending a lot of time in the woods. I should probably buy one of those screens pretty soon. Sent from my SM-G930V using TractorByNet mobile app

Found the missing option above YT3 PTO control!

I like that model!! I've scratched my head about this very topic for years. My best take: The market-driven economy is characterized by what Adam Smith called the "invisible hand". Note that he did not say "invisible brain". We don't automatically get all the benefits for just being market...

The New 424 - It just got real!

Speaking of loader capacity, I just put some of "Ken's Bolt-On Hooks" on the 424. Not hard to install. I highly recommend the clevis/hook combo, which gives a lot of rigging options. I was really impressed by how easily the loader on the 424 lifted this pine log. I wasn't sure if I was going...

Pallet Forks for 424 - Who makes them?

My dealer said he can order forks for my 424 for a whopping $972.00 + tax. OUCH. Seems crazy to me. Anybody have other ideas about forks for a YL210 loader? PLEASE do not say "bucket forks". I do not want bucket forks. Thanks!

The New 424 - It just got real!

As I continue to accessorize my 424 TLB, I noticed on Amazon somebody was selling the sign I didn't know I needed until now. Perfect addition to the property!
