Thanks for all the thoughts so far. Looking for something that will give a decent ride as well a decent traction and float fairly well. I’ll have to see what is available and what the pricing is like.
Many thanks, I did some more testing and narrowed it down to the display unit, I ordered and installed a new one and now my glow plugs are working. Thank you.
I just got a Kioti DK50SE and will need to replace the rears (13.6 x 24 ag tires) fairly soon. The original tires are Titan’s with the long bar short bar style. The tractor does (or will do) quite a lot of loader work, spend some time on the road, and be used for general farm duties (making hay...
I did some further testing and have determined that the ‘display unit’ has failed. I have a glow signal coming from the key switch to the display unit, but no signal comes out of the display unit. Thanks, Sam
Thank you. I have done some more testing, the glow plug relay (middle of the three on the RHS front of the fuel tank) is not receiving control power to make it activate to heat the glow plugs. If I manually trigger it then the glow plugs heat up.
My earlier testing where I had voltage on the...
Using my multimeter I got 0v at the glow plugs. That lead me to the relay. I’m just trying to figure out why it seems to be trying to power up the relay when the key is on but not in glow and taking the power away when the is in the glow position. Thanks, Sam
I didn’t look in the book to determine which relay it was, I just traced the wire from the glow plug buss bar back up to the relay so I’m pretty confident I have the correct one. Thanks, Sam
Thanks, the tractor automatically brings them on when you turn the key on if it’s cold. There is also a position on the key switch to manually actuate them.
I just bought a new to me Kioti DK50SEHC and am trying to tidy it up a little. Currently the glow plugs do not work, when it’s cold and you turn the key on the indicator comes on for a short time, or if you turn the key past ‘on’ but before ‘start’ the indicator will come on. I found the glow...
A mechanical shuttle will require you to press the clutch, stop the tractor (some are ‘synchro’ shuttles and a total stop may not be necessary), shift the shuttle and then release the clutch. Usually they use a dry clutch. A power shuttle will use a wet clutch pack and you can be driving along...
I’m glad you’ve got at least a temporary resolution. Way too many electrics on a new tractor to ignore issues like this early on. I hope your dealer can help you out.
I would disconnect the battery for now and call your dealer. If it can’t last through 4 hours and some damp weather it seems you might have a warranty problem.
I haven’t had this problem but if I was you and there’s a second person available I would do the following. Secure the tractor from rolling, with engine off, have the second person operate the brake pedals while you lay underneath and observe the linkage. If both right and left appear to...
