    Chinese digger recommendations

Just looked at a walk through* of the Rippa-R18. Lot of additional features and upgrades over my TT-17. I see that its engine is turned around as compared to what mine is but access to removing the engine oil filter still looks like it would be a bear. These small zero turn units do not provide...

    Chinese digger recommendations

The Huayee looks very similar to the TT-17 with a few differences in design (like the battery access) and a smaller Kubota engine, the D722 instead of the D902 for the TT-17/18 or XX models. Be aware that a lot of these mini excavators are not honestly rated for what they weigh. Often a claim of...

    Chinese digger recommendations

I just bought the Typhon XVII with cab last month. My previous mini was the 1-ton Terror X. My experience and research before buying the 17 followed a lot of the same things you mention in your post. Unfortunately I found that there is real problems with the imported Chinese excavators having...

When is a Chain at End of Life

My experience is opposite the OP. Back in the old days saw chains were expensive and difficult to get. You used them until pretty worn out. Nowadays they are cheap and easy to buy online. I sharpen them until 1/2 worn down and toss them. No sense in being penny wise and pound foolish.

    Medical Cost

Yeah but they want the Full amount if you don't have insurance. It is hard to negotiate less. Which is crazy.

    small Chinese Excavator repairs

Thanks DFKrug. It looks like using the DiscountHydraulicHose.com: 9624-06-L08-14 | 3/8" JIC Female x M14x1.5 Metric Male (fits 8 mm tube) with a DiscountHydraulicHose.com: 2405-06-04 | 3/8" JIC Male x 1/4" NPTF Female Pipe should allow me to make it work. Yeah the ~$16 for that DIN/JIC...

    small Chinese Excavator repairs

I recently picked up a hydraulic test kit thinking of checking and adjusting my TT-17's relief valve. The kit comes with metric adapters but they are not DIN style that the excavator hoses are. What adapter is it and does anyone have a source for a 14M test female(or 3/8 or other combination) by...

I Went To Purchase A New Mini-Excavator And This Happened.....

Good. Do due diligence and check it out. 120 miles away is practically next door so that or inclement weather should be no excuse. Trust but verify -R Reagan

I Went To Purchase A New Mini-Excavator And This Happened.....

I am curious why when you asked the dealer to check the hours that you did not go over the excavator yourself before you agreed to have it delivered? Quote; "I went to the shop on a rainy day and asked if they would get the key so we could check the hours" Rainy day or no all the images you...

    Typhon Terror XVII with cab.

Thanks for the offer Carl_NH but if it did not work for your auger it likely would not work for mine. Living where I do there is little in the way of local shops. ETA 8/1: BTW check the track tension. I had initially not paid any attention but I noticed 1 track feeling/looking loose. However...

    Chinese mini Excavator hydraulic issue

You may just have air in the boom control. Try running the cylinder in and out to full stop several times till the relief valve actuates.

    Typhon Terror XVII with cab.

Found nothing so far. Might have to get creative and perhaps have a short hydraulic hose with adapter to fit the QC on one end of it.

    Typhon Terror XVII with cab.

The selector already directly hooks to the hoses that came with an auger I got but having a quick connect would allow for containing hydraulic fluid when swapping attachments. The excavator itself runs nicely. Much better than the 1-ton model. The mods I have been making are just things I see...

    Typhon Terror XVII with cab.

Anybody have a source for an adapter from the Thumbs auxiliary flow selector to a Hydraulic quick connector? The fitting on the selector is designed to connect to a 14mm DIN light hose. I find many female 14mm QC's but they are not DIN and lack the o-ring seal.
