You can also burn them that's what I like to do. Use a chainsaw to make slots and plunge cuts into the stumps, pour a little diesel in and light it up. Time consuming, but cheap is what I like about it.

A landscape rake is going to work best in my opinion. Once you get through the sod it will break up and move around dirt.

I have been really wanting to do this to my Kubota. The dinky support of the factory canopy leaves ALOT to be desired. I have a hard time getting the darn thing to stay up so that I can stand on my tractor during operation. Not to mention stuff falling on the hood and canopy...
