I’m running a Carolina Implements grapple. They appear to also be marketed under the Farm Maxx name. Thread about them here. https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/threads/carolina-implement-grapple.476256/

Land Pride RTA1274 not the best choice?

There’s not a rock to be found anywhere on this property. I take that back. I’ve found two large Indian stones on the entire 80 acres so far. The lighter overall weight and 4 tines versus 6 tines are my two largest concerns. Have you had any problem making depth considering that the unit is a...

Land Pride RTA1274 not the best choice?

We’ll be putting in on large (but not huge) personal garden. Now that logging and clearing is done I’ve also added a lot of vehicle width trails around and across our 80 acres. I have a feeling it would get used more for trail maintenance and smoothing until we can get compactible organics...

Land Pride RTA1274 not the best choice?

I've been casually watching tillers on marketplace for a while now. A tiller is the one remaining implement that I would like to have around here. A few implements were left here on the property when we purchased it and I've added Land Pride implements to fill in the gaps. I'm generally happy...

Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

While researching these before I purchased one question always stuck in my mind. Why do they all run the small diameter rear roller instead of just having a pair of caster wheels off the back of the unit?

Could you maybe explain what happened to the rear roller and what failed?

Woods BB48X New PTO Shield Alternative

I like the fact that they come with a selection of bushing so you have a better than fair chance of having at least one set that works.

Woods BB48X New PTO Shield Alternative

I’ve been looking at the Bare Co. cover if for no other reason than the quick release function. My PTO shield is fixed and a real PIA to work around with big hands. If it works I’ll probably convert all of my driven attachments to this style of cover...

    YT235 PTO brake?

Just as I hit send my phone rang. It was Yanmar Support. According to them the YT235 does not have a PTO brake so no overrunning clutch is required. Hopefully that’s correct information. It could get spendy if that’s incorrect.

    YT235 PTO brake?

I’m familiar with the slip clutches but this unit already comes with a shear bolt for excessive load. I’m more concerned with the weight of the flywheel causing access wear to the PTO brake if the tractor has one installed.

    YT235 PTO brake?

Can anyone tell me if the YT235 has a built-in PTO brake? I just added a Wood Maxx WM-8H chipper to the other heavy rotating implements I have and I’m concerned that the 200 pound flywheel on that unit may require the use of a PTO clutch. If it doesn’t require the use of one I’d rather keep...

Can you enlighten me on the lock valve? I was too hot and tired to go through the operators manual this evening. Planned on going through it tomorrow.

Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

Found this 10 month old Peruzzo Fox Cross 1600 on marketplace a few days ago. Reached out to the seller to see what the story was. Apparently he ran it for two passes around his pond and decided he wasn’t comfortable being that close to the bank due to how steep it was. It’s been parked in the...
