I've got the 2" & 1" versions of Amazon.com. Basically a seatbelt like retractor built into a normal ratchet strap. Been pretty happy with them. The ratchet only goes 90 degrees instead of the normal 180. Straps are a little shorter, but that's fine for my uses. They also have clips on the...

Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

Peruzzo makes what is basically a hydraulically powered weed eater head that hangs off the side of the flail mower. For trimming fence lines. I don't remember if it was self powered with a hydraulic pump off the flail gearbox or ran off the tractor hydraulics. At any rate it was $1-2k 5 odd...

URL in that old video no longer works. Ratchet Strap | Wrap A Doodle Doo | United States seems to be where they are at now. $40 for 2.

Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

I cut around 5-6" high for better grass health. I deal with raised tire tracks a lot. Not worth it to mow fields & pastures low enough to get rid of the tracks.

    Your last generator Maintenance Run

More likely they are relying on the battery to buffer the PWM output from the controller. You can run a car without a battery, at least older ones. But that is really hard on the voltage regulator & diodes. If you have 2 controllers outputting exactly 12v both would push equal amperage to the...

    Starlink

Each Starlink satellite is only in view for 15 minutes or less. So the dish has to track it across the sky at a pretty good clip & then sync up with the next one before the first is out of view. Gen 2 dishes were motorized, but only to point towards clear sky. The antenna in all the dishes are...

    Your last generator Maintenance Run

My toy hauler has 400watts of solar connected all the time. It stays live even when towing or plugged into shore power. Multiple charge controllers or converters output 12v nominal with each other just fine.

    Starlink

Depending on the service level, you can use it in motion. Plenty use it on boats & some use it while driving. A tree would be more stable than those.

Looking for best quality/price for 48" rotary tiller with adjustable tilling depth

I run a King Kutter tiller & it does ok.In some places it's the OEM co TSCs County Line brand, in others it's Tarter Gate. Similar quality. I've mostly switched to using a T3 arena rake for ripping & grooming.less dust & noise. If your tiller can't quite cut it, pre-rip it. Get a subsoiler & do...

The newer Fords do have a checklist built into the infotainment systems. It activates when you plug in a new trailer. I'm not sure if there is an option to check ball size though. I skipped over it the last few times, so checklists are only good if you use them.

Or they just backed up in front of a 3pt disc sitting in the middle of a field. Parked & took a photo. It's not like driving through a tilled field is hard. Tire tracks in front of the tire, which happens if you put a vehicle in reverse.

    Kubota L5740

The 40 & 60 series all have weak front wheel bearings. It's not the end of the world. Keep an eye out for oil leaks & get em fixed if they leak. Everything has issues, Kubota has good parts & support.

Ford 5000 power steering leak. Could the choice of fluid be to blame?

Ya, worn out seals. The worst oil you can get in the store today is probably better than the best you could get in the 50s. Lots of modern heavy equipment specifies engine oil rather than a hydraulic oil for hydraulics. ATF is just hydraulic fluid with red dye & probably friction modifiers...

Stump bucket for 60hp tractor - what length, type is best?

At 4,500lbs your not going to be doing that much with a stump bucket. Not nearly enough traction to dig into dirt, much less a stump or roots. I have a 1.5' wide bucket spade & my similar weight Kubota L4060 can barely get it into the ground. It took me 15-20 minutes to dig a hole big enough to...

Tier 4 emissions Kubota L4760 reliability

I'm about 50 hours & maybe a year behind you. Issues with front wheel bearings & axle seals, but nothing with the engine or emissions in my 4060.
