I had a Yanmar built John Deere (JD 850) prior to my current Kioti DK. It was a solid, reliable tractor, but my Kioti DK has been every bit as solid and reliable for me the past 23 years.

My opinion. The top hole is the fill plug and vent. The lower hole is the oil level plug. If no drain plug on the very bottom you may need to suck the oil out.

Reading on lawnsite.com over the years I'm not sure that's true. You are comparing a residential grade mower/transmissions to a commercial grade mower. The commercial Hydro gear 4400-5400 seem to be holding up just as well as the pump/wheel motors from what I have seen posted.

A picture would help. Do you mowers have a pivot link where the top link mounts ??

Every tractor I have owned had grease fittings at the front axle pivot and they were only 26 HP and 35 HP. Even my Wheel Horse garden tractor has grease fitting on the front axle pivot.

Something looks wrong IMO Looks to me like something (Bucket maybe) is hitting the boom arm, busting it out.
