I picked up a Jet star 3 gas tractor, 1967 based on serial number. According to tractor data they were made 64-65 then became "super" but the serial numbers for a regular JS3 run up to 1970 and are the same as the super numbers. Mine appears to be original paint but does not say super on the tag...

I know where one is for sale with implements and it is manual lift, no hydraulics.
How hard does the implements lift? Can a 10 or 12 year old do it?
Thanks, David
We use bags and tap 150 may increase to 200 this year. Thinking of tapping the trees that can take 2-3
taps and just put 1 in them. That way if we get cold and lose those I can re-tap later. Biggest hold up now is I meet with the new land owner tomorrow, met her in June and she said we could...
Hube2, Mid February is normal start.
m1, do you think tapping killed the trees? If they are large enough and healthy I don't think it would hurt.

+3 an hour ago -3 now heading to -8 they predict. Blowing snow, can't tell how much but not alot.
Predictions started at 5-8 inches and now are at 1-3 and the wind is 25-35. they are no longer saying
60mph gusts. Sure glad I don't have to go out and so far still have power.

My Kubota is manual so I can go longer with it. So far I haven't had any issue starting but it hasn't
been real cold yet- next week single digits so we shall see. Not putting a heater on it, if its too
cold for it I will just stay inside. Thanks for the replies.
