When you fold the orange crank handle out : push it strait in onto the square shaft to crank it smooth & easily.
IF it won’t push in OVER the square shaft : loosen the lock nut on the bolt & possible lubricate it so it’ll easily slide strait in about 3/4 of an inch.
Also Keep the exposed...
My last name is Brown & my cousin nicknamed me Brown Dog 40yrs ago when we raced dirt bikes lol
Plus We’ve had several Brown Weiner dogs the last 30yrs
so it was fitting lol
Glad it reminded you of your old co-worker friend.
You should look him up.
We sure ain’t getting any younger ;)
Btw...
You’ll really like the 4cyl Turbo Diesel TORQUE !!!
It’s plenty heavy enough so it doesn’t bounce you or ride too rough unless you mow wide open ground speed on rough ground : then it’ll beat your brains out like ANY mower will
I tried the lil 1211 3cyl first but it just wouldn’t pull...
You must have a hi revving loud gas engine  (& excessive vibrating too IF gas)
I’ve had 5 of these ZD Diesels & wear a radio headset for my commercial poultry house alarm system & I can hear my horn go off just fine when they overheat.
Kill the engine, rake the excess grass off & dump...
I used a 6ft then a 7ft then a 9ft rear finishing mower behind a 66hp JD tractor for 20yrs
The 4cyl Turbo Diesel 72” ZD Kubota mows WAY SLICKER & I can trim better BUT it doesn’t save me any time at all.
I miss the smooth ride of tractor with all 4 tires fluid filled.
iF Exmark 96” Zero...
I use to let the in-laws cut it for hay BUT HUNDREDS of Gopher Rats took over my home, barns, sheds, vehicles & poultry houses.
So I bush hog 7acres with 15ft batwing & zero 20 acres.
Hawks & coyotes will eat what few shows up.
Rat problem solved.
IF he’d push that crank handle onto the square shaft : it’ll turn much easier smh
Scraping underside of deck clean isn’t necessary in my book as long as it’s stored inside out of the rain.
I’ve got way too many chores to get done after 9-10hrs of weekly mowing.
I’m a one man band mowing 20 acres here on the farm weekly.
Occasionally when the stars align just right : I can persuade my wife into mowing with the backup ZD1611 mower
Two 72” 4cyl Turbo Zero’s can flat cover some ground
Make sure the D has capable hydraulics & ground speed you need.
Those economy tractors will lack slower ground speed for certain applications & don’t have near the gpm flow Hyd pump
The offset is different on 12” rim diameter but a 2” wheel spacer will make them exactly the same width I’ve read.
I’ve got two new 16” takeoffs I bought cheap for my 1511 & 1611 so I’m ok for now.
I like the short sidewalls not giving as much as 12” rims causing scalping although I mow @...
4wd seemed to make my F3710 spin worse.
I even fluid filled all 4 tires & it didn’t help.
The F just didn’t suit my application at all so I traded it for a ZD1611.
