    Opinions request Deere 5400N

It’s a John Deere 5400N, 4x4, cab, loader, 4,279 hours. The tractor has been sitting in the shop for almost 20 years. Prior to that it had rolled over a couple of times and did a little bit of damage to the cab, and the center section of the rear rims were bent. They got it running and drove it...

How to evaluate a used tiller

Thanks guys. Here’s a pic. Seller says it’s only got about 20 hours on it. But I believe it’s a discontinued model from the manufacturer.

How to evaluate a used tiller

So I found the tiller that I wanted to purchase, but there’s no tractor onsite to test it out. Is there anything that I should look for visually? I’m nervous because I don’t know the seller, and they are a couple of hours away. Thanks for anything you can suggest

    Kuhn any good? EL35-130 tiller

I found a used Kuhn model EL35-130 around 4.5’ IIRC, but I’m concerned about parts quality of construction and availability. It’s only 488 pounds which seems light. I cant seem to find anything when searching google thanks 😊

What are all these implements for??

Admittedly I’m in the dark on how to best proceed with my acquisitions of the 3-point implement(s) that will work best for my desired outcome. I’m probably asking a lot because it seems there are many different methods / tools to accomplish a given task. Here’s what I’m doing: Ive got about 3.5...

Tiller forward rotating models and reverse rotation tiller

Interesting, thanks for your reply. Curious about your reply though. Do you till the same areas every year? Or are you breaking up new ground? I understood that’s where the reverse rotation has the advantage.

Tiller  forward rotating models and reverse rotation tiller

So I’m researching the local market for a 48” tiller for my B2650 and I’m evaluating the differences between the forward rotating models and the reverse rotation and I’m having trouble in deciding… I kept thinking “why don’t they make a tiller that give you the option of choosing the direction...

    “Mow in reverse” Deere GT235

I have todo a lot of maneuvering on my property and it’s very annoying that I have to engage the PTO every time I go into reverse. I’d like to override *whatever* is kicking out the PTO which doesn’t allow me to mow in reverse. Is there such a thing?? Thanks

RPM, Oil Pressure, Water Temp guages

My Mitsubishi Buck has no guages. I want to know what is going on with oil pressure, water temp, and RPM. Seems it should be fairly simple to add the guages... anybody done that? What did you use? Thanks Mark

48 inch rotary mower 4 my S470, too big?

I have a chance to get a 48 inch rotary mower and I wondered if anyone here has any experience with their similar tractor / mower combo? (mine is a Satoh Buck S470 4x4 3 cyl diesel) Currently I use a 42 inch deck and it works great; it is just getting old and beat up; need to re-build or replace...
