Replaced the frozen u-joint in the pto driveshaft today with a good used one I had. Before pressing the old one out be sure to remove the C clip from the bearing cup inside the yoke.

Wanted to post some pics of often overlooked lubrication points on the pto system. None of these areas have a zerk fitting, but do require lube or they will wear out. Pulled the new to me 322d with Olathe 82 seeder into the shop for its initial service. Will change fluids, filters, belts, and adjust everything. Looks to be in good shape. This is my first two wheel drive, so learning a bit about that difference.

Had the driveshaft for my guardian deck rebuilt. The old one had worn splines and was bent .750” and would wobble pretty good. New shaft, new U joints and we are back in business. New shaft from Toro is $550, to rebuild mine was $240.

Pulled the Groundsmasters out today after a long Winter sleep. Did a complete service, we’re ready for the season. Changed the mower gearbox oil today. I figured after two seasons it was time. After draining I could tell it was pretty filthy, so will be changing every season from now on.
