Is there any reason I can't pull the rear wheels on my F24 and flip them to get a little wider track? The way the wheels are made, it looks like turning them "inside out" would widen their stance maybe 8 or 10 inches, which would be nice. Tractor is tipsy and the treads are constantly smacking...
My son was moving a little dirt this evening and after just a few minutes, I heard the tractor quit and the hollering start. I stepped outside to see what the problem was, and the problem was that the right side of the tractor was in flames. As in "on fire."
Flames were coming from just below...
Used the tractor the other day to move some stuff around. Parked it overnight, went to use it the next morning and nada - no lights, no solenoid click, nothing.
Put the charger on it overnight, charger says battery is fully charged. I'm at a bit of a loss now. I've ordered and received a new...
Now that I've finally solved my overheating problem, I've borrowed a friend's Howse mower to get the thigh-high grass under control out at our property. So far it's been a gigantic clusterf*ck. Without going into a lot of boring detail, let's just say getting it connected to the 3-point hookup...
Some of you may have some of the backstory to this problem from my "Where are these fluids coming from?" thread. To recap: My F24 starts and runs fine (and, as of a few days ago, has no more oil leaking out the oil pressure sending switch). However, after less than 10 minutes at normal operating...
Okay, I'm stumped. My guess is, they guy I bought the tractor and implements from forgot to include some parts. I'm stumped as to how to secure these teeth to the box blade short of rigging up some kind of Rube Goldberg setup.
Here's one of the teeth. Note that the one I have in-place at the...
Okay, there's good news and there's bad news. The good news is, I think I've likely identified the culprit as the fuel shutoff solenoid. I don't know what that is or where it's located, but it sure as heck isn't making any noise when the key is turned on.
The bad news is, there isn't really...
I bought a used FX 24 last summer, and up until now, it has given me no trouble at all. I went out to start it this morning, and it turns over but does not fire. It has a full tank of diesel. I have tried following the steps in the owners manual regarding the heater, the compression lever, etc...
I finally got around to removing the hood panels and inspecting the innards on the right-hand side of my F24. Unfortunately, I'm no closer to understanding where the dripping oil is coming from. In the attached image, I've got fluid dripping from three different places: near where the blue tube...
