    Trailer recommendation

I appreciate everyones comments. I had ideas of purchasing a new trailer but I think I have decided to strip the old wood off this one and use the earth contact wood and new tires and wheels if necessary. If I want sides I can make some and mount to the stake pockets. Someone I work with said...

    Trailer recommendation

Hello everyone, I have an old 4x8 flat trailer that I used to haul my riding mower around. Sold my truck and have used it to pull behind my tractor for grass limbs and such. It is getting really ragged. I have looked at other trailers including dump bed trailers for ATVs and am wondering if...

    Solid tires for finish mower

I would but the dealer I purchased them from back when has closed. I don’t remember the brand the wheels are, something aftermarket, and any paperwork or receipt is long gone.

    Solid tires for finish mower

I have a 6 foot Farm King finish mower that came with inflatable tires and wheels and I replaced them with solid ones years ago. I need to replace them again. Recommendations on source or particular brand? Thank you!

    LEATHERMAN tools

I really like my Leatherman knives but lost a very expensive one a while back…so I found Kershaw Select Fire, it has a built in screwdriver and 4 bits. Not very expensive so if I lose it I am not out much…not that I want to. The only complaint is it holding an edge. That may be me.

Max 26 - finish mower size

I have a 2516 and love using my 6 foot Farmking finish mower. It will bog down in high grass. Sharp blades help. I definitely needed and have front suitcase weights. The weights come off then I attach the loader, which is only a mild inconvenience…no bracket interference.

    Troubleshoot Belly Mower Issues

I agree about the blade bolts. Installing fresh blade bolts never hurts and getting one a quarter inch shorter helped me with a similar problem.

What is the dumbest thing you have done with your equipment ?

Two things come to mind: I was mowing with a finsh mower and my old 8n. I like mowing so I was having a good time, as this was a volunteer project, just me the tractor/mower and a nice early morning, helping out. I was doing just fine when I discovered that one of the 3 blades had come off, I...

2516 Gear - Long Term Reviews

I still have my 2516 Gear, and to date have not had any major problems. I wanted to see if anyone else that has this model, or similar 2816, 2216. Has anyone had anything to deal with I should keep an eye on? I have kept an eye on all fluids and changed engine oil regularly. I have low hours on...

Oil & Fuel  how long to store diesel?

I know the problems with storing gas and the problems that causes, but have not heard much about storing diesel. With fuel prices they are it is tempting to have a little more on hand. What are some good rules to follow with diesel. Thanks!

    kill switch?

Living in a suburban area, I wanted to see if anyone has installed or had experience with adding a kill switch to disable their tractor. I will be parking my 2516 outside and wondered if I needed to go the extra step of disabling it.

    Snow  snow chain modification

I think I will be making the right decision, but would like to make sure. When putting on my snow chains, and to get them good and snug, I have to connect them past the first cross chain....so obviously too long. So I just need to cut the excess making sure they are on properly before I make and...

    battery for 2516

    Stored inside now going outside

My 2516 is getting booted out of the semi heated garage, in favor of my wife's car...it's okay as long as I make sure I store it properly in the weather. So I am asking for tips. I want to cover it, but will a tarp be enough? I will be adding diesel additive to prevent gelling, but any other...
