    Tractorbynet

I don’t post here very often anymore because I have more going on than I can keep up with but I wanted to say thank you to all of its members here. Recently purchased a different make of tractor that isn’t covered by this forum and I have to say that it’s a whole different world. The people...

    Title issues

It’s a 2009 Kia Rondo, not a desirable car I know but it has 91,000 miles It’s not beat up, small dent in qtr and fading paint on hood. Worse case scenario I could buy a junker with good title and swap. It is a Kia but if taken care of I could probably drive it another 100 thou plus.

    Title issues

Anyone been through this before? Car, it’s extremely low mileage ( for it’s year ) and super clean. Runs, drives, stops and the radio works. Best yet I only paid 300 dollars for it but there is no title. Evidently the gentleman that owned it died, went to his wife and she became incapable of...

    Freeing a tractor steering wheel

I unfortunately don’t know what the metal hub looks like ( how thick ) ( Plastic wheel from the planet unobtanium ) I don’t want to damage it What can I fill this cavity with and let sit ( under pressure) and magically pop the wheel off? I had to cut the acorn nut off, lots of rust ATF...

    Hydraulic

Anyone successfully running anything other than the kubota brand in their tractor? My L 2501 ( FEL and backhoe gear driven) blew yet another hose and I’m back in the market for fluid If I were operating a hydrostatic trans I wouldn’t consider anything other than UDT-2 but there are a lot of...

    Going underground

I’m curious why more people don’t build underground? We are considering a root cellar for my wife’s canning. We are in FL where it is dry, so dry that very little survives here with the exception of king leaf pines and sand oaks. Very, very little rainfall throughout the year. Why don’t we hear...

    Spindle

I definitely appreciate the offer, my kubota B6100 doesn’t have a mower deck, I have wanted one for years, less than a month ago we got serious, found a seller, got lots of pictures, drive from fl to N North Carolina only to find out that the seller didn’t have all that he claimed he had...

    Spindle

Any of you guys have any experience rebuilding mower spindles? I’ve got one out of three spindles possibly bad on my tractors mower. Lots of up and down play that I don’t think any amount of tightening is going to fix. ( could be wrong) What typically causes this kind of wear? I’ll have to...

    Welding my tractor hood

At this point I don’t believe that your friend doesn’t have warpage issues, maybe he knows something I don’t though Dial the welder down and deal with a poor weak weld, turn it up and deal with it warping. This has been my experience Of course I’m sure that some really proficient welders could...

    Welding my tractor hood

I am familiar with stick and have quite a bit of experience with resistance. I’m only proficient in mig but the intricacies of the welder never mattered to me, I wasn’t paid to do perfect work, I was paid to do a job that oftentimes the manufacturer themselves did very poorly on. It sounds like...

    Welding my tractor hood

    Welding my tractor hood

Looking for ideas I welded autobody for over thirty years, as the years progressed the metal became thinner. I can weld a soda can but it will distort the can badly. For some reason someone cut section out of my hood, I have another hood that is beat to hell but this area is fine. I’ll need to...
