Blade Tip Speed = 16500 fpm
My 110” single deck Befco I sold was only 14,800 & it didn’t cut near as good as the previous LP & BH brands I had before.

My Z-turn is either 18K or 18,500 fom ... It is NOISY though ... And I sit right on top of it ...

With a rfm it's way out back, and I have a cab ...

After 20yrs I sold my 66hp JD tractor & all 3 RFM.
Bought two 31hp 4cyl turbo diesel 72” Zero mowers 18,500 to mow this 20+ acres of farm grass with steep banks & rolling hills.

Way better all the way around especially when I have a helper to run the second mower.

My two complaints with the Z-Turn is small tires give a rough ride at 10 mph, even with a suspension seat ... No A/C!

Well my friend that had the tractor got the finishing mower out from the collapsed chiken house (where it had been sitting with no damage). It is a Land Pride 72" that he had used for some years but this guy knows how to take care of stuff so it is in good shape with new blades. He had used the JD 855 to pull this particular mower so we know it is up to cutting what I have to cut (not a lot). It will clean up good and the price was right at $500.

LP FDR1672 Is a good lightweight RFM.
they cut good (y)
I pull one behind my B2601 and am very pleased with the cut quality. It handles grass taller than my SCAG likes to eat in one pass. And it reaches down banks and under trees that are impossible on the SCAG.

Funny story, in hindsight... I was trying to mow under a limb on the SCAG once when it was new and I was still getting familiar. It is a stander so you can crouch down and all that. Somehow I miscalculated everything just right and pinched my head between the handlebars and the limb. Got away with a fat lip and a knot on my head. But that taught me a lesson!

@anomad I mowed this place the first 20yrs with a 66hp JD tractor & RFM.
I’ve kept all tree limbs cut 20’ up on every tree for that reason.
The last 10yrs on Two 31hp 4cyl Turbo Diesel 72” Zero’s & I’m still keeping limbs cut with a big extendable pole saw on this 32 acres.
Some weeks it’s about more than I want

Congrats on getting the used mower. Be sure to grease it, check the bearings in the spindles and grease them too if they're not sealed. (that's usually the 1st thing to go are the bearings). the 72" should be a good match for your tractor. If you're not familiar with how to adjust cutting height, have the previous owner give you a 15 second tutorial.

The Land Pride unit is a FDR1672, Part number 826-410C. I'll have to spot the serial number. I'm going to clean it up real good tomorrow. It is in excellent shape. I'll make sure everything is greased real good. The past owner had used the JD855 for years to pull this unit and he said it did great. One of my techs in this shop is taking the JD home this weekend and he will service it, change out the hydraulic fluid and generally go through it. My wife wants to use it (a scary thought) to mow the grass on our place over in Scott Cty. Probably 3 or 4 acres around the house there. I guess a 72" mower will cover a lot of ground.

Don't forget to pull the belt covers and give it a good cleaning. It's amazing how much grass can get packed under there in a short amount of time.

The Land Pride website has a serial number 'look up' feature. This shows #666734 was manufactured on 10/13/2010.

And get a spare belt to keep on hand... nothing worse than an old belt giving it up in the middle of cutting. I keep a spare belt and set of blades for mine.
