Is that a beaver dam in a couple of the pictures?

I don't remember exactly when you first got the place, but was there snow already? In other words, have you seen the place with no snow on the ground?

We were there in August and September. The beaver pound is in multiple photos.

At camp and grilling pork chops. Was about 37 when we got here with modest snow remaining but the ride out was less muddy than we had antisapated. The trenches we dug last fall still functional. It's about 40 now and the sun is out. This is the life!

Sun is on its way up, as is the temp. Was about 20 at sunup with a predicted high in the 50s. Gosh everything looks different with 90% of the snow gone. Moose have been in the area of camp and dearest thinks we got them on a game cam. We will put another up over the weekend.

We've been shopping for a tractor for here and looking at three used one's in our area. This is within 150 miles and need it to get drainage for the road in, improved.

Got some wet spots water moving today which was way more work that I can do anymore. Nonetheless, water got a draining off roads. Now we're sitting by the fire pit for our 1st camp fire of the summer and will be grilling a steak in a bit. Its in the 50s now and of course bug free. Did see a hatch happening over a stream today and tried to get a picture of that. We will see. What a day at camp!

Spring chores will motivate you to get a tractor.

We are home and looked thought the camp cam photos and found nothing of interest. We had fresh Moose markings and thought we'd catch them. At home we found one card was 100% empty, so it seems that one card got mixed up and a used one was put back into a camera.

That beaver dam looks like it's been there for a while.

More camp pics. Purple finches have found the feeder we put up there.

Our dry, high quality logging road! Cabin roof seen in the background.

Taking leftover junk apart for burning. Is was his "snowplow". The firewood station will also go into the fire. I'm building its replacement now, which will be a on 8ft trailer for moving out of the way in the winter. I ran into it a dozen times this winter!

After being out all day, everyone takes a break.

I still haven't seen a spot on that road that a 4wd truck couldn't handle. Show us the worst spot.

I do.

That road is horrible. You might make it in with 4wd a few times, but the ruts will start and then you even have a worst road to deal with. That road needs a lot of culverts and ditching.

You have a point about the mud and ruts. But there is also a lot of rock there, doubt there is much bottomless mud. And I am not saying the road it good, but it doesn't look impassable.
